i absolutely love the graal... i like it better than the gps.
tey are both only level 1 though, so i usually go with a katana if i want to go shotgun.

edit: oh, an nothing beats sticking long spikes into the heads of enemies across the map

I have Claymore II, GPS II, Crusader I, Disciple IV as my "best" shotguns.

Haven't really used the Claymore. Slow rate of fire, short effective range. Obviously devastating especially with an Infiltrator, but I think I'd rather use the GPS because it hits as hard as the Claymore does and also hits as far as you get the "targeting bracket" due to the homing projectiles. Granted it's not much for headshotting at longer ranges, but then neither is the Claymore since it's not really accurate enough. Also the benefit of GPS is that you can charge it up, activate cloak, and then fire without losing cloak. That allows you to get a second, non-charged shot from the same cloak cycle. And a cloaked single shot is enough to kill a basic trooper if all three projectiles hit.

Crusader is more like a semi-auto sniper except without a scope. I've used it mostly with Infiltrator, but also some with a Soldier. It's actually quite a fun gun, but if one managed to get say, a Paladin, that would serve the same role but at a lighter weight and slightler higher per shot damage and DPS - another example of the messed up weapon balance.

Disciple's the best choice for a "power spammer", better than a Katana X. I've been testing it on my Vanguard mostly, and with both the weight-related choices the Disciple IV gives me 197%. It staggers enemies which is quite useful.

I tested the Graal in single player for a short period, but haven't unlocked it in MP and can't honestly remember what it was like other than it didn't really leave that great of an impression.

If I ever unlock the Krogan Sentinel, I'm not 100% sure whether I'll use GPS or Claymore with it. Claymore's lack of long range capability wouldn't necessarily be an issue, since I could carry a long range weapon too, since I wouldn't be using powers.

I don't know why it's called a Geth Plasma Shotgun, anyone who has used it will realized it should be called a Geth plasma Sniper-gun.

I also found something out with the Claymore that makes me not want to use any other shotgun.  He may or may not be referring to what I'm talking about.  And its not the Infiltrator + Cloak combo.

For me, Geth Plasma all of the way. I seem to get so many kills that i have to equip a heavy pistol also.

lol sorry didn't mean to make it sound so secretive it's just tedious to explain everything in detail.
What I found out about the claymore is at X it has a nice spread capable of knocking sheilds and armor down with the same shot. Kinda like a delay with the bullet spread making it look like it shoots more than once, im not sure how to explain in detail but there are similiar things among weapons that make them unique.
Quick reloading it also helps.

All the gps has is range and if your using the shotgun correctly that doesn't matter much and I also enjoy the old school double barrel shotguns over plasma energy **** so it's also preference over the gps.

Shotguns are my least favorite weapon because I favor long range despite Sniper rifles being my next to least favorite weapon. Of the ones I can use my favorite is the N7 crusader because I favor a single slug to pellet spread and of course that makes it much more accurate and suitable for longer range battles. So I like shotguns only if they are accurate for longer ranged battles.
