I don't even want money back. If they give me Blue Coins I'd be perfectly happy. Maybe I could then get Dishonoured or something.

I got one of my copies from GG (I bought a boxed CE, but because I'm international, it takes for goddamn ever to get here...and I broke and got a digital copy so I could start playing on release day >.< ). This has given me hope that I have grounds to return it. I'll hold onto the CE for now (heck of a lot harder to ship back a boxed copy). Before this debacle, I would've felt just fine having spent the extra money on the digital copy, but after the ending, having done that left a particularly sour taste in my mouth. Yeah...I trusted BW that much.

If you've not install (entirely or at all) you have grounds to say that you didn't agree to the End User Licenseing Agreement. (EULA) Or just say you heard terrible things about the game and don't want it because of lies with ads and interviews.

My return depends on BW's official statement which is still very much absent.
Same here. Bioware can still turn this around, I just want something at least remotely close to what they advertised. If not though, I'll definitely consider getting a refund. I mean, I liked 95% of ME3, but the problem is, the ending kills all replay value for me. I've not touched it at all since I completed it and I have no desire to.

Going back and supporting bioware means you approve of their actions. They care about profits not about what you say. If you buy their products then you are wasting your time complaining because it doesn't mean a thing to them.
I am not trying to be a jerk, but I want you to realize that they only listen to profits. Buying their products means they are doing a good job.
What of it? I support Bioware, I don't hate them, I don't boycott their entire company just because of one ending that lasted 5 minutes. I still love ME1, ME2, and ME3. I just refuse to play the ending of ME3, as I quit before the illusive mans base, in that sense I've already replayed the game once. I admit I am going to be skeptical about new Bioware releases from here on, but I am not going to boycott their wares.
You have a problem with that? Too bad for you. I DON'T approve of their actions regarding the ending and I am ready to strike down at any comment they have that contradicts the truth. As for buying their products, to late I already did and I might as well keep em'.
Yes, they only care about profits, which is why I'd even PAY for a new ending, and if they throw in some extra content; then sure I'm game. I see people wanting a free ending, which is totally unrealistic and unlikely, what kind of motivation factor does a free DLC give bioware? Free DLC's have never satisfied and might as well be called patches for the minor changes they bring and usually involve low quality work.
As for the comparison of going back to a spouse that keeps beating me to death:
What kind of hole did you crawl from?

Wait .. what?
...
You really need to get a grip.
sorry your analogy is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY off base. They did not harm anyone. You feel so strongy that you wish toreturn the game thats fine, go for it. But to imply Bioware harmed anyone cause we do not like the ending is just Ludicrous.

How can you do that?! Returning the game for an ending? Really? That's pathetic. EA had nothing to do with it! BioWare simply tried too hard, everyone makes mistakes.
If nothing else you should be returning the game for their DAY1 DLC with Javik, who is one of THE BEST characters in the game, who had his SCRIPT written WELL before the certification (even if the mission was done afterwards) and who is extremely important to the lore. THAT is a worthy reason. Yours is definitely not. Endings were bad, BioWare, I am sure, will try to do something about, but returning the game for THAT and calling off entire support for a company is just stupid.
I agree on DA2 and SW: the old Republic. Yes they are bad, yes they were effortless monetization attempts by EA. But the ending of Mass Effect 3 clearly wasn't.
Casey Hudson and Mike Gamble simply LIED to us about how and what content the game would present. 16 different endings? We would do it any other way? The choice will not be simply A,B,C?
It's false advertisement and I want REFUND.

anyone know if they would refund me my mass effect 3 CE at gamestop? Personally, I doubt it.
I know a guy that works at gamestop, and he told me that if someone came in to return it, he would either do a full return, or give full price store credit. So you may wnat to give it a try.

If I return it to Gamestop that's only hurting Gamestop. I mean, there's really nothing else to say there. If I return it to EA directly then that's direct money out of EA's pocket. Amazon is too good of a company, if I had bought it there, I'd just eat it, there's no way I could impugn on their hospitality like that, especially because I know they would.

This is a REALLY good idea. Anyone who cares should do this. This would be by far the best method of getting their attention.
Unfortunately they'll just stop giving refunds the moment they notice the trend. Customer satisfaction is pretty low on their priority list.

I got CE and thought Javik was a terrible character. I took him on part of the final mission and was astounded by how useless he was. Mostly i just left him in his room where my hair would become transparent.

See bulletin 6 in the steps.
tl;dr
They lied in the advertising and interviews months before the game was to come out.

And that's why I don't read the news. The fact of the matter is the OP argues that ME3 is a bad game. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of reasons to refund the game. But obectively speaking 99,5% of Mass Effect 3 was very, very good.
As I said, there are plenty of reasons to demand a refund, but "Mass Effect 3 is a bad game" is not one.

No, what is pathetic is BioWare lying to the faces of their customers. This isn't just just a case of bioware trying to hard, it is bioware knowingly delivering a shoddy product and lying about it to gamers. Don't let these huge multinational companies get away with it. If your ISP lied to you about what service you were going to get wouldn't you want a refund?
