If I return it to Gamestop that's only hurting Gamestop. I mean, there's really nothing else to say there. If I return it to EA directly then that's direct money out of EA's pocket. Amazon is too good of a company, if I had bought it there, I'd just eat it, there's no way I could impugn on their hospitality like that, especially because I know they would.

Uh, no it's not.  I'm sure they charge-back EA.  That's what my company would do.  As a retailer you don't eat returns.  That's crazy.

I encourage all who're willing to go through with it to POLITELY begin contacting Customer Service reps on origin and ask firmly for refunds. Even if you don't get it, a hundred people, a thousand people, all suddenly demanding refunds will be noticed.

Haha, hope no one will ban me, but remember, there are pirates in the internet. But I will wait, may be there will be something good in the end?

I will NOT sell back a game I enjoyed 90% of, no. That's just inane.

this is ridiculous. I never played TOR but I have a friend who is and tells me it's solid. DA2 wasn't as good as the first one but it wasn't a horrible game by a long shot. ME3 has a terrible ending, definitely, but don't make it sound like Bioware is going down the tubes or something. 99% of ME3 is an amazing game. I for one am going to be keeping my CE of ME3 and have no plans to trade it in or try and get a refund as some people are doing. When the DLC comes out you're all going to be trying your hardest to get a copy back to play it.

Hmmm... I'd be all about returning my DDE. Might have to try this.  I'll still hang onto my 360 and PC CE versions.

The horrible excuse for ending(s) seem like a much more valid complaint than a supplemental day 1 DLC character and mission. I could play the game through to Marauder Shields and still think it was an awesome game without From Ashes. Nothing I can do to avoid the ending aside from turn off the game before I get to it.

Free DLC is just not viable, accept it, they need their VO's back, hard copy shipments, the shipping itself, that costs alot, ill happily pay a little bit for ending DLC, ill never pay for any other DLC though before that happens.

If you're in Europe and ordered on or after 6th March (as of today), you can obtain a full refund on Origin due to the EU 'cooling-off' period on on-line sales.

7. Refunds for Products and Services:

Subject to the following paragraph, there are no refunds for products or services purchased on our Websites.

If
you reside in the European Union and you purchase a product or service
on one of our Websites, you have the right to withdraw from your
purchase within fourteen calendar days, commencing on the day after the
date of purchase (the "Cooling Off Period"). If you reside in
countries other than Germany you will lose your right of withdrawal if
you start downloading your product, or if you remove or unseal the
shrink-wrap packaging from your physical product, or if the performance
of our services has begun, before the end of the Cooling Off Period.

If
you reside in Germany, the following applies: the Cooling Off Period
does not start before you receive your purchase confirmation email, and
if you purchase a physical product, not before you received the
purchased physical product. If you purchase a service and expressly
consent to the service commencing, you will lose your right of
withdrawal once both parties' obligations are fulfilled before the end
of the Cooling Off Period. If you purchased a physical product, you will
lose your right of withdrawal if you remove or unseal the shrink-wrap
packaging from your physical product.

Please note that if you
purchase services from us, the performance of our services will begin
immediately after we have sent our purchase confirmation email.

To withdraw from your purchase within the Cooling Off Period, please visit support.ea.com,
log in to the Account used for your purchase and open the "Email Us"
tab on the left hand side of the screen.  Complete the information in
the "Email Us" tab and, if possible, attach a copy of your purchase
confirmation email using the "Attach Files" feature. If you withdraw
from your purchase within the Cooling Off Period, we will refund the
Price as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 30 days
after the date that you exercise your right of withdrawal.

Germans may get slightly longer as the 14 days starts after they get their confirmation emails.

I'm conflicted. I can get my money back or I can keep kicking up hell on this forum. Decisions, decisions.

[Edit for clarity]

Forget it - can't return if you've played the game.

Who would ever have thought that Origin would make this right whereas Bioware refuses to do so.

mind = blown.

Its a matter if EA will take them back from Gamestop. They need to have an agreement for this to happen. Other wise it does hurt Gamestop. BUT Gamestop also offers trade ins. They'll happily take those!

this is the most effective way for your opinion to be voiced. people saying you "have no right" to ask for changes cause you aren't a customer is flawed logic. Give them your money when they make something you wish to purchase, not a moment before.

I'm not going to return the game. As crappy as the endings are, the game up to that point is exceptional. They deserve compensation for that. I will just not buy DLC until their game makes sense and my choices are reflected in the outcomes as they promised.

Never again will I believe a Bioware PR hype about any future games.
Never again will I preorder one of their products.

Bioware betrayed my faith in them. I will now wait until reviews are out (and not EA's biased lapdog IGN) before buying.

Far as I'm concerned, people can choose to return or not return.

I just don't see the point in forking out 80 bucks for an incomplete game and sitting on that copy in the hope that the developer will see reason.

I'll buy it again... if it's fixed. If not... I have two other games and a better story in my head.

I am returning my copy to Play.com. Amazon is also offering a full refund, as mentioned on another thread.

I don't plan to return my copy. I enjoyed the rest of the game. Not going to let the disappointing ending ruin it for me. Still have faith in Bioware. Still looking forward to seeing what plans they have for the future.

Tried to return mine to Origin. Clerk objected but mentioned that they're getting a lot of complaints of this nature. Offered me an exchange. Nothing on the store took my eye. Kept my ME3.

On the plus side, since everything EA is putting out this year looks a bit "meh" to me, boycotting if this thing doesn't work out will be a piece of ******.

And let's face it, a free DLC ending is unlikely and just plain unrealistic. I'd rather have to pay for it + some added content other than the ending. Keeps the folks currently happy with the ending happy, and those not happy with it happy.

As in, you don't believe they exist? Or that they're immoral?

Why not? Do you know of a better tool for consumers to express their displeasure with a corporation?

It should be noted that Origins default policy is to not accept refunds for digitally downloaded products unless in "special circumstances". My guess would be that the success of this depends on the mood of the customer services guy/gal you end up talking to.

Once again, This is the reason you are polite and calm when asking for a refund.

Commander Shepard isn't gonna show up to get you your 80 credits back.

Did play.com take your return??

Did you play the game to the end??
