Jesus Christ, the amount of spoiled entitlement in this thread is insane. Bioware developed an amazing game that you enjoyed the first 24 hours, 59 minutes, 50 seconds of. You just didn't like the last 10 seconds and think that entitles you to a full refund? And don't pretend you didn't enjoy the first 24 hours, 59 minutes, and 50 seconds or you wouldn't have played through it to get to the last 10 seconds.

If you go to a movie and love it, but hate the last 10 seconds, do you go to the ticket kiosk and demand your money back? I dare you to do that. See what happens.

I've already given a lot more than the CE cost to Child's Play. If I return my copy, it has nothing to do with money or entitlement.

They don't get it because they let anger cloud their judgment. No point in reasoning with them.

what's funny with some of the moronic posts in this thread is that somehow, somewhere, people got the idea that one cannot return a book or ask for a refund for a horrible movie.

these types of refunds are common place. i encourage all of you to go buy a bad book.. i don't know, try something by ann rand. then return it the next day. YOU'LL BE TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY WHAT HAPPENS!

furthermore, comparing this situation with merely returning a book or a movie shows a total lack of critical thinking. the only reason i even expanded upon it is because you simple people need simple examples for how to think. trust me, the issue is more complex than a book or movie refund, but that's beside the point.

the main factor that should shut most of you up is this: amazon and origin agree with these refunds, and their opinions mean more than any of ours.

I changed my original post a bit. I moved the 'List of broken promises' closer to the top because obviously people were not reading my entire post. Hopefully this should reduce the amount of people crying out entitlement.

Yes the endings were bad, very fast put together. even Casey Hudson had said himself,

Hudson: “Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to

build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about

eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is

coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot

more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many

decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that

stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,

where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got

ending A, B, or C…..The endings have a lot more sophistication and

variety in them.”

Seems funny and ironic....No A, B, or C endings when theres exactly A, B, or C, CHOICES in the end.

However I have this theory Bioware did this on purpose, to preserve time and feedback from fans on how this game should really end. And it would make sense for the Alternate Ending DLC to be FREE, why else would they charge for the Prothean DLC that they ripped straight from the game to charge customers extra. They saw this coming, they needed the extra funds to work on the real ending (with player feedback). of course thats my two cents, thats what I believe. Still.. i think something very fishy going on.  Now that I look at it, the ending was definately rushed, and most of it does not reflect with the PR statements they had said.

Is this the twist that Bioware mentioned? Fake Bad ending to stir discussion, but true ending in DLC? Hmm..

I don't pay full price for beta.  Fortunately for me,  Origin/EA agrees that I shouldn't have to, and gave me my money back.

They can earn back my money when the game's DONE.

My 2cents:
Did you miss the Electronic Art logo on the front of the box? Its common for them to push games into the market before their ready. The board members don't care about quality. Just if their decisions will make them money. Free ending from a EA studio? Not on your life.

I think EA just fears a lawsuit backlash after the executives put these kinds of articles in front of their corprate lawyers and say 'Can they sue us over this?"

I want to believe such things will happen but what I've seen of EA and corprations is that its just all about the money. Yes corpations needs to make money but when it loses its morals to do so is a common and horrible thing.

PS Also this off of wikipedia about EA: http://en.wikipedia...._Arts#Criticism

Yea I'm aware EA ruins most games. Like Crysis 2 for example. But the hope was for Bioware. :(

People seem to be getting very upset over returning the game. I think it's loudest message we can send. Anything that effects their wallet, they pay attention to. You can always buy the game back when/if they fix the ending.

amen. none of our posts matter. at best, some poor moderater reads them and, you know, does nothing with them? casey hudson's statement shows the disconnect they have with the community, and this disconnect isn't going to get better. keep posting away, or do something that actually has a value in the corporate perspective we are dealing with.

just accept the fact that bioware is no longer that cool company, that they are owned by EA, and that you have to hit their wallet and not their hearts.

I will not return. If i do then Bioware does not care about my opinion anymore regarding ME3 DLC, or worse if ME3 fails to make money, they might make no ending DLC, or even make no further Mass Effect Games. Furthermore, I intend to have my non-plothole filled endings that take into account a huge amount of player choice.
Until then I shall remain Civil, and HOLD THE LINE!

Pissed at myself not bioware on that last part

Somewhat related... the price is almost dropped in HALF on amazon. (It is also being advertised for 53$ WITH the strategy guide included)

List Price: $59.99 (this was in "strikethru" font on Amazon, but I don't know how to do that one :P)
Price: $37.99
You Save: $22.00 (37%)

Hold the line!

Judging from how much they're "Listening" to their fans right now, they don't care about my opinion anyway.

I'd rather have the money back than vague promises...

They lied even WEEKS before it came out, not just a few months.

I wouldn't say Old Republic is a bad game, it's just not what I was expecting, but that doesn't make it bad. Dragon Age 2 feels like a job and THAT does make it bad. Mass Effect 3 is good sure, it just doesn't do what it said on the box and that makes it a disaster.

So you are the kind of person who goes back to his or her spouse who keeps beating him/her... Interesting. It is more common than people think.

When someone violates me, I get on my feet no matter how much I love the person and walk the frack out!

Going back and supporting bioware means you approve of their actions. They care about profits not about what you say. If you buy their products then you are wasting your time complaining because it doesn't mean a thing to them.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but I want you to realize that they only listen to profits. Buying their products means they are doing a good job.

You hear that kids? The ending to ME3 is like getting beat by your lover.

Totally not overreacting.

Right now it's after hours, so anybody who wants a refund should call tomorrow at 7AM PST.
