Right now it's after hours, so anybody who wants a refund should call tomorrow at 7AM PST.

Call again in the morning.  Ya probably got somebody RIGHT about to go off shift.  You want to be the first call in the morning, NOT the last one at night.

Not going to lie to you. Mass Effect 3 might become abandon ware in a worst case scenario, but if game developers and publishers will learn not to jerk their customers around then I guess it was worth it. Even if it was one of the most anticipated games of the year.

I got disconnected from the first one today and the second told me this.

Edit: Their refund policy explicitly states that they won't give refunds to downloaded copies of the game. It's really a stroke of luck to get one. 
I'm incredibly dissatisfied with this purchase, it was really a waste of $80

From my chat with an Origin agent 5 minutes ago:

"I would like to inform you that as per the new EA rules and policies we won't be able to refund you for the game mass effect 3 But what we can do for you is that we can replace your game with the other game if you wish ?"

I suggest to those above that you ask for a manager. Take your time and explain yourself and reasoning, doesn't need to be in the list here. You played the game, be brief and explain. If your not happy with what they offer you say thank you for your time I will think about this. Then you can try again or try calling during their open hours. Try a few times if need be. Maybe even another day. Be civil.

In a worst case scenario a choice from another game is not all that bad. It is also known as 'store credit'. Unless your point is not to do any business with EA.

As much as I disliked the endings I love the series and all the characters. It's still my favourite story. I'll keep hold of mine.

It's good to share this knowledge however.

Hello!

As i've seen Mass Effect 3 has more than one problem on its shoulders. That made me reply to this thread.

My problem wasn't with the game itself, because i haven't started playing it yet. Ending dilema for which are you all concerned about, doesn't worry me - it's a trilogy and it must end with third sequel whatever it is. Just my opinion, everyone has a right on his own.

My major problem is Origin installer. I bought a retail copy of the game, so i can install it from dvd('s). Well, i got surprised, to say the least, as i couldn't install it from dvd. Instead i had to download it trough EA client which, with my unstable internet connection, took me minimum of 6 hours to download. I'm not going to explain my adventures with customer service, because this post would be even longer.

My question is: can i ask a refund based on this - unsatisfied with the treatment of customers and/or product?

P.S.: I've already played and finished ME1 and ME2 and i liked the game, so i would like to see an ending. But this Origin malarkey is just making me more nervous.
Bioware, can i buy a game directly from you, without involving EA?
