When getting ME2 on EA's Origin, and buying DLC for it, will the DLC be installed automatically through Origin or will you still have to download and install each DLC manually? I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere. Same question for ME1 and the Dragon Age games DLC. Could someone who uses Origin let me know?

ME2 I believe you have to download and install manually, and the same for ME1.

Thanks! No reason to use Origin then, I thought Origin was made to make DLC integration easier...

ME2 predates Origin so somewhat hard for them to integrate it. You can register your boxed version on Origin and play without DVD. Also lets you safeguard your saves via cloud.

Hopefully there will be an including all dlc version of the earlier games then, installing all the dlc sucks.

Doubt that will happen considering how the DLCs were handled but anything is possible. Funny how their implementation of DLCs changes with every game. Admittedly, ME3's seems the best attempt so far, DAO's probably was the worst, with the DLCs sometimes failing to authorize even while online and logged in...

I've had that exact problem with mass effect 2 and dragon age 2 too, cost me a day everytime to get it to work even when using the ea support chat...

Can someone elaborate on this?
I registered my boxed(and installed with all dlc's) ME2 in Origin. It appeared in list of games but origin cant start the game. I can still start game normally from exe, but it still requires dvd in dvdrom.

Would be good to play ME2 without dvd at last.:(

I recently had to reinstall my OS for my computer and somehow lost all the extra stuff I had purchased for ME2.  Now I can't find a site to download them again.  Also will I have to repurchase all of the extras again??  Any help with this would be appreciated!!! :(:crying:
