Only problem with this is... Bioware likes the ending. They like what they created for their game.
Than they should be ashamed for liking it.

I'd like to share this video from G4 with all of you. Many people are obviously irrate with the endings to Mass Effect 3, and as that base continues to grow by the thousands every day both monetarily (charity) and physically (Facebook) many people cite Fallout 3 as a source of hope and precedent.
That G4TV video isn't loading.

"We really messed that one up."-- Todd Howard
Takes a big person to admit when they screwed the pooch. Takes an even bigger one to do something about it.
That video is an excellent find.

Very interesting insight into the mindsets behind the scenes when it comes to games and stories.

Personally I liked fallout 3s ending even before broken steel. I didn't know that fan reaction is why they added to it. Bioware should def take a page from bethesda's book and add or change the ending. Bethesda's concern and appreciation for fan feedback has always been the best, ever since morrowind, and I'm sure even before that ( I really don't know). Before games are considered art, they are a product PURCHASED by a consumer. Bethesda got that, why can't bioware? And if the consumer is displeased with a product changes are made accordingly. This art stance bioware has taken bothers me. Does art get " reviewed" or " critiqued?" Art most certainly gets critiqued, products get reviewed!
That's my rant... Don't know if it fits here, but I don't care!
Critique and review.... Similar? Yes. different? also yes.

Bioware doesn't recognize Fallout 3 as history. For them there is no precedent to changing the end, in favor of covering obvious plot holes, and if they do that FOR FIRST TIME EVER, since Fallout 3 never happened, they prophecy that smaller companies will be doomed for this first time ever happening. Since Bethesda and FO3 aren't real, you know....Neither Infamous 2 by Sucker Punch.
Yeah, right...
Yeah, right...

The difference between Bioware and Bethesda is that Bethesda is a great company and can admit what they did wrong but Bioware lies a lot. Bethesda changed the ending to fallout 3 because they loved their fans. Fallout 3 was not about story from the get go but with mass effect 3 is all about story but they still didn't say anything about why they like the endings. I hate the ending of mass effect 3 because I love the story but with the last 20 mins of the game is why i don't play mass effect 3 because their is no point to replay the whole trilogy since one play through can see all endings. I love heavy rain because it has different out comes from the choices you did and i love it but mass effect 3 there is no reason to love the ending. I wanted a game to end the trilogy where your choices made a difference than other players but instead we all get the same endings.

Ending of a game =/= whole game
ME3 does have a good amount of variation in the game as a whole, however it all goes south at chronos.
I mean we have tuchanka
rannoch
sanctuary
cerb coup
Conrad/Jenna
etc
The problem I am seeing is that what we believed was this:
Shepard --> Choices --> Victory
and instead got this
Shepard --> Catalyst---> Victory

Even though it has been so long, I still hope Bioware/EA will fix the ending. I'm sure many other people wish they will as well. This thread is still relevent, IMHO.
