In ME1 as you played through, completing certain requirements unlocked achivments which in turn unlocked powers for use on new seperate characters. ie complete a play through as a soldier, complete the Assult Rifle Achivment (kill x number of enemies with AR), then you could start a new character with a different class, and be able to select the Assult Rifle skill for a class that would normally not be able to use it, eg Vanguard.
In ME2 when you made each squad member loyal, you could then access their bonus power (Reave from Samara, Barrier from Jacob). This bonus power was also available in completely new characters, irrespective of if in that play through you had made that squad member loyal.
My question is.
Will the bonus powers that I unlock from each of the squad members remain for other new playthroughs, or am I required for each play through to unlock them as I go?

It's exactly like in Mass Effect 2, once you unlock it, you can't lock it again

Ok so it remains unlocked rather than being tied to a playthrough.
Thanks

If you import a ME3 character that you finished the game with, you keep your level, all unlocked guns, gun upgrades, armour pieces and bonus powers. Also if you find a gun out in the field that you already have it levels up to level 4.
