New Win 7 64bit Pro installation
Origin V8.5.2.23 - 151265
ME3 V1.02
Logged on and getting the same error as everyone. Friend logs on the same machine, he's playing fine. I log back on and it gives me the same error. Still nothing from help.ea.com.

reinstalling ME3
reinstalling Origin
different PC
different network
repairing game installation
repairing individual component installation
rebooting routers
clearing cache
banging head against wall
sending screenshots to EA help
more banging head against wall
Core of the trouble: If you have From Ashes with this problem you can't play a saved game that was made when that pack was authorized previously. Chances are you get locked out of multiplayer too.
If you don't have From Ashes, you can continue with SP, but likely you will have noticed problems with multiplayer (which is why you are here, right?)
Best I can tell, this is a SERVER issue, nothing to do with your local installations. I make software and I am responsible for maintaining 90+ servers, all my experience in the field points to a central server problem, either with authorization or database corruption for each of our user records. It has been proven by one poster (either on this thread or one of the others) that if you log in with a friend's account you will have no trouble. I have yet to verify this but it sounds sane.
Servers = not our fault = someone has to fix this. Come on dev team / server support, hear us and acknowledge our problem at least!

Started tweeting @masseffect about the problem - if any of you guys use twitter, do the same. More public spread about this outside the community the more likely this is to get attention
I've tweeted 4 seperate times, each with the same response/reply. The only thing they'll say is to contact a game advisor at help.ea.com.
The twitter feed is useless for anything except for them saying thank you to people for saying how good/bad the game is. No real substance. Even a tweet to this thread got ignored.

After playing the game for almost a month and to have a patch render the game unplayable is... I don't even know what this is. I'm beyond mad.

I tried playing today and it won't even let me load my previous save (it contains From Ashes DLC). I managed to play last night, with persisting problems, but now it seems that this issue is just getting worse. I had to play offline for my save to work.

ruka_09, the exact same thing has happened to me. I finally sent in a help ticket to EA in the hope that someone who knows what they are doing will help address this problem.
I explicitly stated in the help ticket that I've tried EVERYTHING that others have been asked to try in this thread from EA helpdesk reps and that NONE of it has worked. I also said that it is the most likely situation that it is something on THEIR END that is causing the problem.
Seeing as I can no longer play my SP saves or any MP (I can start a new SP game, but without For Ashes, which is part of the reason I purchased the N7 edition) I'm going to be talking to some lawyer friends of mine to see if there may be any legal options open for me to pursue as I'm not getting the functionality of the product that I paid for.
Edit: And still no response from my help ticket yet (although I didn't submit it until around 5:30 CST, so there is a possiblity I won't get a response until tomorrow).

To reinstall:Go to C:\\Program Files\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\DLC (assuming you're using C:\\)
Move the DLC_OnlinePassHidCE folder to your desktop (keeping it there for a backup, delete it if it works)
Open Origins
Go to the Game Details of Mass Effect 3
Repair Install the DLC called N7 Collector's Edition Materials (The DLC name may vary. Just guess what the online pass may be under.)
Once download is complete, try ME3.

MJB, if you have any luck with any of the avenues you try - please keep us updated. I'm pretty upset about this for the same reason you are; "not getting the functionality of the product that I paid for". It's not like this is some minor bug, either, it completely locks us out of playing the game and completely removes/disables any online content.
I can't believe such a glaring issue exists with what's regarded as a "AAA" title.

maybe the online pass gets corrupted or something.

Interestingly enough, this reset the issue. I still have the same problem in that the EA Server does not seem to recognise my online pass as legitimate - however, I got the initial prompting that my N7 CE apparently did not have an online pass.
Didn't fix the issue, but whatever the DLC_OnlinePassHidCE folder is, deleting it and reinstalling it resets the problem.

Will do. I want it to be noted that I'm not wanting to pursue a legal option if it isn't necessary, but seeing as I'm unable to get any functionality of the product (i.e.: I can't play the friggin' game), I'm afraid that if no attempt is made by EA/Bioware to fix this I may have to pursue this avenue.

Just tried this, did not work for me though. Still experiencing the same issue. Added to my existing ticket with EA updating them to the problem and linking to this thread, probably won't matter but here's to hoping!

I'd love a response from Bioware on this even if it's just 'hold on and let us look in to it'. At this point I don't know if this issue has even been acknowledged. Again, I'd love to know how an automatic and manditory patching process can render a game unplayable.

Much appreciated! It's good to see we're getting some help at least! Although, as dstrawberrygirl said, I'm pretty sure this is an issue on EA/Bioware's end of the spectrum that needs to get addressed and not on ours.

From my understanding of this thread, this is an issue on EA/Biowares' end. The OP appears to have had his account 'reset' (lord knows what this actually means and if it literally resets all of his account information/online characters etc) which may, or may not have, resolved the issue.
I'd love a response from Bioware on this even if it's just 'hold on and let us look in to it'. At this point I don't know if this issue has even been acknowledged. Again, I'd love to know how an automatic and manditory patching process can render a game unplayable.
Funny thing is my MP component became unplayable about 5 days or so before the first patch, it (my current SP saves, that is) didn't become unplayable until I downloaded the resurgence pack in the hopes that Bioware/EA would address the issue sooner rather than later.
I guess that's what I get for being overzealous! Hopefully this crap gets fixed before the "Extended Cut" DLC comes out...

Mine broke before the patch came out - I've had no game since Saturday. No acknowledgement from Bioware or EA to date.

Curious. So this probably isn't related to the recent patch, then? Something on BiowarEAs end where legitimate copys of the game are being mistakenly recognised. God help us all, if that's the case. Makes pinpointing the cause/solution a whole lot harder, I'd imagine.
Considering there's some people who have had this 'issue' for a week or more, I'm not holding my breath. I'll keep tabs on the thread - cheers for the help and feedback, guys.

Not with From Ashes, which is legally part of my purchase with the N7 Edition.
