Online Pass Issue

I just tried right-click on game, clicked Shop for Add Ons, saw Resurgance pack available, so "bought" it for free and downloaded and installed. However, this did not help refresh my account or anything like that, so no change, nothing new to report.

I've not yet asked for a new code, they escalated my ticket, apparently. I'll suffer another day before I get really grumpy and demand a quick fix - I guess I'm just hoping that if they use our data and find out there's a problem somewhere deeper in the system that we might help fix it and it may be prevented from happening again to others in future. I got ME1 and 2 to keep me busy another day - just wish they'd get on with it. I want to play MP this weekend! :)

I want to play MP this weekend as well, what with the resurgence pack giving us one of the new alien races guaranteed!  I'll be pissed if I am unable to play!

The last advicer said to me, that they know about this problem and they are working... but when i said, that some advicers already have solved this problem, he said "consult after 24 hours" whaaaaaaat?

I dont know how can we insist more, 4-5 threads about the problem, countless livechats with Techhsupport, and incresing amount of ppl who encoutered the problem

IMHO any kind of DRM should be flawless, and checked to work in every possible deployment scenario before releasing it along with any software.

In the extremely rare case that it causes any kind of inconvenience software publishers should scramble and get the customer up and running within hours, not weeks.

Why? Because DRM in no way does improve the sofware it's attached to, doesn't add to customer experience, doesn't add functionality, doesn't help software developers, exists only to please the publishers and their shareholders.

It is preposterous the amount of aggravation the legitimate end user is put through just for the sake of satisfying them.

Just chiming in to say that this problem popped up for me last night, after I installed the Resurgence pack. EA support hasn't been able to provide any effective help so far.

Well, just a quick update for me. After I got done chatting with the second EA supporter last night, he gave me a new redemption code for From Ashes, which did the trick as far as that problem was concerned. However I was still not able to access multiplayer and around 9pm (started chatting with him around 6:30, so he was a dedicated tech at least!) I was asked to uninstall ME3 and received a new redemption code to download a copy of the N7 edition. As of now, it is still downloading. Hopefully this will do the trick, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'll be sure to update everyone this evening after I get off of work.

Good luck! Strangely, I can access the From Ashes DLC without problem, but have no multiplayer or Galaxy at War.

Yep, that's where I am at this moment as well. It cannot be 4:30 soon enough! I'm anxious to get this resolved! Hopefully downloading and installing with the new code will synch things back up. A new code itself did not.

If we are left alone to fix our own problems would it be okey if I pirate" From ashes" to play it? because I dont want to buy it if there is a chance that the same error occurs

I wouldn't do that. After the tech I was chatting with last night saw the issue I was talking about, I was given a fresh redemption code for From Ashes that fixed the problem (still having trouble with the online pass though, hopefully I'll get that sorted out after work)

Got mine goes by email correspondence and they fixed that "From Ashes" problem, though the "online pass entitlement" problem remains.

On the bright side, now I don't have to make Origin into offline mode just to have the game work at all...

It is good to be able to play SP again! Hopefully they'll get the online pass issue resolved though... *waiting patiently to get back home to see if the solution offered last night is successful*

That is actually great to hear. After the tech I was chatting with last night (for over 2 hours) helping me try to fix this, I've got to say, I have a lot more respect for those guys.

Okay, not so excited to hear that! However, at least it appears some of the EA techs have had to deal with this issue a bit, seeing as a few people have had the problem fixed. I guess it just depends on your luck if you get the right tech or not!

Hallelujah and praise Jesus!!! I can now access MP and all my DLC content!!! The redemption code to download an N7 edition (new key) and From Ashes worked!!!!

Looks like some of those EA guys know what they are doing!!!

Edit:  Now, if you all will excuse me, I'm off to play some ME3 :)
