During the Geth dreadnaught mission, Shepard and company unplug Legion from the consensus, and Legion in turn shuts down the ship's barriers and weapons. But the Quarian fleet, instead of retreating like my Paragon Shep suggested opens fire on the dreadnaught at Admiral Han Gerrel's orders, despite Shepard's team still being on board!

Luckily with Legion's help Shepard and co. manage to get away unscathed, but boy is he pissed that he was almost killed by that attack. So despite his paragon status, my Shepard gives Han Gerrel a piece of his mind while capping it with a fist to the gut. He then 'kindly' asks him to get the hell of his ship.

I have to admit that renegade interrupt was one of the few that felt justified, even my uber paragon Femshep did it. So what about the rest of you?

I didn't with my "canon" Shep (Full Paragon/Male/Soldier/Talimancer)

but did with my "secondary" Shep (True Renegade/FemShep/Vanguard/Blue Babies Brigade)

I did the first time.

I like him a lot less now,

He and Koris had a trading spaces moment. Gerrel was the one that made it hard to like him, and Koris was the sensible one.

IMO Tali'Zorah and Zal'Korris were the only decent admirals come ME3.

Shala'Raan was spineless and never thinks for herself,, so she supports Gerrel,
Daro'Xen was always crazy, Even though she was in support of the war I still kind of like her, because it's just funny to me how insane she is.
And Han'Gerrel is just an attack dog that's out of control. lost a lot of respect for that moron.

I did, couldn't help myself, even paragon Shepard would approve. I like the fact renegades interrupts are more justifable in this game. I also couldn't help renegade the salarian counciler for being so uncooperative when there is a reaper threat threatening existence of all races.

Yes even as a paragon you can't let this slip.He tried to kill an admiral and Shepard who gave them a chance against the Geth fleet.

Needed to understand he did something wrong.

Punched him, yeah, because he deserved it. He was likeable in ME2 because he's Tali's father's best friend, you are lead up to liking him. The fact that he is a hawk didn't come into a significant effect then. Here, you feel it at every turn of the Rannoch missions.

Didn't get the peace option to rub it in his face, am still riled about it, but that's a separate matter in a separate tech problems thread.

Even though I was paragon when he said that as a soldier I should understand his actions I couldn't help but take the renegade choice and tell him what he did was completely unacceptable. Then my Shepard had to try very very hard not to punch the smug jerk.

The opposite was true in ME2. Zal Koris was a jerkass who wanted to exile Tali for her support (uintentional btw) in her father's insane experiments. Han Gerrel on the other hand was friendly and quite supportive of Tali. You can see who my Shepard preferred talking to.

Admittedly I give props to Bioware for this sublime bit of storytelling. How war brings out best (Koris) and worst (Gerrel) in people.

Nu-Hu...

I also couldn't help renegade the salarian counciler for being so uncooperative when there is a reaper threat threatening existence of all races.

Actually that was the Salarian Dalatrass. And yes, she is a total b***h for not looking at the whole picture and letting her prejudice agianst the Krogan dictate her decision.

I was playing a pure paragon and I did. Couldn't help my self. Spur of the moment.

Then I reloaded and still berated him without punching.

You'd need to be Gandhi or Budha or something, to not get mad.

He was... interesting, in ME2.

In ME3 I can somewhat agree with him on the priorities changing bit on principle, but fact is we probably could have taken the thing over in time and he screwed the fleet over.
