I purchased the limited collectors edition for the xbox 360 from the orgin store. I have already inputed all the DLC codes that were included in the box. All the other DLC (extra character outfits, all the N7 weapons, and the M55 Argus assault rifle) that was included in the package works just fine, but I still have no idea how I access the "From Ashes" mission. I have recieved no emails or orders from Admiral Hackket directing me to investigate Eden Prime.
I have just completed the mission to recover the Prothean artifact on Thessea so I must be nearly 80% done with the game, but I would still like to run the mission if it's still possible, or definitely during my second playthrough.
When am I supposed to recieve the mission that allows me to do the "From Ashes" DLC?

One thing I experienced when downloading from ashes for the first time is the download was corrupted. I had to delete the DLC off the hard drive and redownload it for the mission to appear.
You gain immediate access to the mission when you download the dlc(if it works properly) regardless of how far you are into the game.
EX you can do the mission after leaving Mars, however you wont be able to take the new character to the turians moon(at least I wasn't able to on my play-through) but then he becomes selectable for missions after that.

I'm having the same problem, but maybe the above ^ is the solution to that...
That said, in my case, EA does not see a purchase made to my account (via email). I'm at work, but I will follow up with Microsoft and EA/Bioware.

confirmed. the problem seems to be the download get corrupted and shows as incomplete. as said before just delete and redownload.

Interesting ... I too own the collectors edition, but I was only asked to enter 1 pass key code (or DLC codes as you call it) at the beginning installation of my game, so I never got the chance to the enter codes for DLC "from Ashes".
As a result = I own the collector's edition with no current way to access the DLC "from Ashes".
Nice to hear an owner of the collector's edition was able to get "from Ashes" for free.
