I'm not completely opposed to what BioWare gave us, but I would happily trade it for this depiction of Tali. It adequately fits the description we have of Quarians from the Codex and most importantly its pleasing to the eyes.
This is also my two cents, but I don't understand where people get the idea that Quarians lack a lower jaw like humans. The fact that they "facial structure and hair actually makes them the most similar to humans in physical appearance" and that they have lips I think clearly indicates that they do.
What Tali Should of Looked Like Instead

Looks like a pink Asari knockoff for Alien fetishists.
Sure the Quarians look human in the face and some parts of the body, but if you unlock enough stuff in multiplayer for them, you see that they actually have a broader range of skin tones than humans do.
Thats just their lazyness, they did not rename it to mask color. Quarians are sloppy work in MP anyway, just look how little that gear color can be changed, it all is based on primary color while other colors wont do nearly anything

would anyone else be interested in trying to peel tali's face off if that was her? At night I would so be in her room just pulling on the ends trying to see what happens.Kog12 wrote...

It's consistent with the photoshopped image used ingame, and has sexy scales just like Liara has.

Hadn't really thought too hard about what the Quarians looked like under the helmets, other than superficially. The helmets themselves look fairly narrow so I always thought Quarians would be fairly thin faced, with delicate features in comparison to humans.
Also thought Tali would have a smile something like this actress

I'm not saying that's what Tali looks like or should look like, just something bout the smile.

Tali could have been Jar Jar Binks, but instead she is a pretty model. DEAL WITH IT!

Would you prefer it if Jessica Chobot had been the face model for Tali?
Also adding Chobot in wasn't that hard. Motion capture is probably pretty simple these days.
Wheras with the Quarians, they probably would have had to do a lot more coding and graphical work that would aplly to all Quarians.

I find the whole Jessica Chobot / Dana Allers thing disturbing... a real-life IGN reporter playing her doppleganger as an ME3 reporter. And you romance her.
Tell me that Dana Allers personality is fictional. If I watch an IGN Jessica Chobot clip and Chobot acts exactly like Allers, I'm going to kick Allers off the Normandy... Her voice acting isn't even good. It's flat, emotionless, and canned. Why? BECAUSE CHOBOT IS NOT EVEN A REAL ACTOR.

Modifying a skin on a 3D avatar is also pretty simple these days.
Maybe Bioware used up their Tali budget while putting in overtime to model adoringly every contour of Dana Allers "Sir Mix-a-Lot" back... I wonder how many reshots sweaty bioware artists called Chobot back to the studio for....

Puh-lease, Aller's body is just a white version of FemShep's casual dress without the necklace and an Alliance logo stamped on it.
90% of the human characters in the game are made using the shepard character creator.

But what's the point of this thread, anyway? Thanks to the way Bioware actually handled the matter of Tali's face, we've already established they're either lazy or just don't care and anyway far too busy making new crap for the multiplayer.
There's more stuff needing a fix than just photoshop-Tali, but as already mentioned - that's getting put on the "maybe later" shelf in favor of more stuff that makes money.

Honestly, I agree with Bioware's choice on Tali's looks. I just wish they had rendered it themselves and given a clearer look at the photo.Raythehat wrote...
In my opinion, Tali's face is a bit of a dilemma. On one hand, you will always have your own idea of what she looks like underneath her helmet - but on the other, you still want an actual face within the game to associate her with.

Hands are only problem in that photo, they look horrible while rest of photo is lovely

Uhh....nice attempt, but that is not possible.
Javik mentions quarians were the most beautiful among all alien species, back when they didn't wear helmets.
So uh, beautiful and that ghoul-ish face doesn't really go together.
This is being said by a guy who is part-insect and has four eyes.
Fact is, you can't measure an alien's concept of beauty by Human standards. A game company would only do that in a story where they force every synthetic character you meet to achieve 'Humanity'.

What makes you think that Protheans and Humans share the same concept of beauty?

Sorry, but the starfish head has no reasoning to it. Asari have tentacle heads cause they decended from an aquatic species, what did they do, slap a starfish on tali's head and call it macaroni?

No. The codex stated that Quarians look more like humans than any other race. Including the Asari. But you're free to take it up with Bioware if you wish...
