So true. More females play video games then people think, it'd be nice to see that reflected.
^ so true. and as i said on another thread, what makes my $70 count for less than someone elses? okay, maybe you could argue that i am still the minority of the market here. fine, look at it this way, bioware - wouldn't you like it if roughly HALF the population developed the interest in games you already credit the other half with? as it is, many women who don't play are the ones buying games for their kids. make it appealing to those who don't play, and you may have new customers.

A lot of females were campaiging supporting gay romances when you knew Bioware didn't really want to put development time into them. Seems like Bioware sacrificed female romances to include those gay romances. Kinda serves you right really.
Yeah, how dare anybody other than straight males want a decent number of romantic options? Have the women and gay males no shame? At long last, have they no shame?

It doesn't matter what Liara calls herself or what Bioware calls her. When payers see this:kingsims wrote...
You have Liara (Which is genderless so you can't really say an asari is gay or lesbian because liara and a human produce Asari offspring regardless of gender).

They rightfully think and see a WOMAN. So FemShep + Asari is a lesbian romance, end of the argument.

Lol, so true. Though it would've been nice to add 1 or 2 more options to tip the scale.Aetius5 wrote...
Shoot at least there are options. You can't always get what you want

Characters who were developed as romances like Diana Allers are particularly frustrating, because the pandering to straight males is obvious, and it certainly tips the scales in their favor in terms of options- which they have plenty of to begin with. Bioware should've considered replacinging her character with an option that would cater to the other orientations, giving them more variety and options (like a bisexual male alien).

You left Kelly Chambers off! She gets you the achievement
Still, if true, it widens the discrepancy.
I didn't see anyone else confirm this (apologies if this has already been said), but yes I can confirm that rekindling a romance w/Kelly will get you the Paramour achievement. I earned it with a FemShep who had "romanced" her in ME2. I assume it would play out the same for a BroShep who romanced her in ME2.
As she gets the achivement, you may want to add her to the list for completion's sake. Although her romance isn't nearly as robust as the "main" ones, and seems to be more along the lines of Allers' (from what I've read about that one). But it is there.

I wonder if Samara has anything then if Kelly gives you the Paramour. To my knowledge, Kelly didn't give you the achievement in Mass Effect 2, but now apparently does in ME3?
It might be the same with Samara.

[b]Even Gay Females have more options than Straight Females!
Objection! Romance with Samantha so seriously lacks in development compared to any other romance (seriously, it's just two shallow conversations leading to tasteless 'girl on girl action' - without even one citadel scene), that it doesn't really count as anything more than a fling.
And if we believed Casey Hudson, who stated that there is absolutely nothing lesbian in romance with Liara, then it would look like that actually lesbians have no option at all in this game...

Still don't know why Vega wasn't an option. He flirts with you constantly and he's available. Someone should really ask Bioware why he wasn't an option especially considering the lack of options for a straight female. I love Kaidan, but honestly, it's 3 to 1 in this game. It's never been worse than 2 to 1 in a Bioware game before. What gives?
Sure it has. In Baldur's Gate 2, male characters could pick between Jahira, Aerie and Viconia. Female characters could choose between Anomen and well, Anomen.

FOREVER ALONE, FOREVER ANGRY works for more of my FemSheps than it probably should. And I guess this is encouragement to finally bite the bullet and hit on Liara. She's such a wet blanket in 1. And so damn young... It just feels creepy to me. "Oh, hey, I'm superyoung for an asari. Here let me be vulnerable for a while, Oh, did I mention I'm superyoung and my species can mate with everyone?" AND BACK OUT OF MEDBAY AT A RUN. The thing is, I LIKE Liara. It's just hard to make a Shepard who's her type for me without feeling skeezy in 1.
Could go straight to 3. But she has a girl voice and a girl face and a girl body, so monogender aside, that gender seems to be female to my perceptions. Not that I can't deal with that, but "Hope you romanced Garrus in 2 or left Kaidan alive" is kind of depressing. As is "You just lost Thane, no achievement/lockout, so now your crew is all for datetimes". As is Mr. Stability being the one who runs off on you. Go, Jacob. >>
Bi's fine. Sharing Kaidan is not horrible.

I don't think so, based on what I've read in the Samara thread -- the writer who wrote Samara (Sylvf) popped up on the thread to say that the only difference in ME3 with Samara if your Shep attempted to romance her was one line of dialog on the Citadel after the Monestary mission. It's a really subtle change in only one line, and Sylvf said she wished that she could have added more lines addressing the attempted romance, but there was a strict "line budget" which may have prevented more dialog options. You can read the full story on the Samara character thread.
And it is a little weird to me that you can achieve "Paramour" w/Kelly in ME3 but not in ME2. I really think she should have been treated as a proper romance in ME2. But, however limited the ME3 interaction with her is, I am glad that they did *something* with her in ME3 (frankly, it sounds like Kelly shippers got a better deal than the poor Jacob and Thane shippers).

Monogendered is not the same as "genderless". Liara is very specific in what word she uses to describe her people. If you don't think that single gender is female - get glasses.

Ah, lame.
I was kinda hoping for a Samara romance continuation in 3. Seems like the only, "DAMNIT WHY AM I IN LOVE WITH YOOOOOOOU!" romance we could've had.
That said, it would've given us just another Straight Male/Gay Female option.
