Kill all Geth, even if Legion is cool

I mainly played paragon, but I always made the anti-Geth decisions. Destroying the heretics, siding with Tali and destroying the rest of them in ME3. Twice even, if there were any left the red explosion finished all of them.
I think it's only logical to kill all Geth when you get the chance. All of your crew except for EDI are positive about it.

The Geth who fell under Reaper control only did so in order to try and save themselves from total extinction.
The debate on whether or not AIs can be trusted is fairly centric to the 3rd game, and IMO they can be.

I don't see the logic in killing the geth. They were used as tools by the reapers and the Quarians started the war with them. They retailated as any organic would, why shouldn't they have the right to live like everyone else?

Humans are cellular colonies. Worth the same as viruses and bacteria.Schrijver wrote...
But Geth are machines. Worth less even than cows and chicken which we slaughter by the millions when some of them get some virus. Kill all Geth. It's the only sane way.

And just about anyone can become the next mass murdering dictator if given the chance, what's your point?Schrijver wrote...
Yes, Legion was cool. But come on. The Geth killed a lot of good people in the first game. Okay, you find out they had this heretic virus, but then in part three they fall under Reaper control again (fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...)! AI's are dangerous anyway. The Geth can become the next Reapers.
Notice they only fell under Reaper control because they were attacked by the Quarians who destroyed/heavily damaged what they'd been working on as their civilizations goal for three centuries and destroyed uncounted Geth processes, and had to turn *somewhere* to avoid annihilation. It was the Quarrians who attacked first, without warning or provocation on the part of the Geth.
The Geth were entirely willing all along to allow the Quarrians back home.
No, it's not. See above. The Geth by kept to themselves for three centuries not harming anyone. A breakaway faction was responsible for the violence in ME1. The Geth actively aid you in ME2. In ME3 they are your foe only because they have been pushed to the brink of annihilation and in desparation reached out to your main enemy to avoid destruction.I think it's only logical to kill all Geth when you get the chance. All of your crew except for EDI are positive about it.

I got peace between them in my playthrough if not, I would have chosen the Geth, the Quarians are the ones who started it all to begin with. Yes, I would have chosen the Geth even though I romanced Tali
But why? Quarians never attacked you in previous games and they suffered enough for their mistake. Legion is a nice mascotte for the Geth, but other than that, they are all stupid machines that keep being used by the Reapers.

no, they're not, they were attacked without provocation, three centuries of work destroyed in their construct, and pushed to the brink of annihilation, they turned to the Reapers in desperation, and were entirely willing to fight them if offered another alternative.Legion is a nice mascotte for the Geth, but other than that, they are all stupid machines that keep being used by the Reapers.

The Geth as a "people" are peaceful and very naive. In fact, Legion goes as far as to say that Rannoch was the Quarrians for the taking, if only they'd put down their guns for five seconds and talk. The Geth saw them as a threat, and so held Rannoch. Three hundred years of banishment, because they refuse any diplomatic action with the Geth.
They're thinking, sapient beings. The Geth possess true intelligence. They have a culture. They self-perpetuate. They ponder the nature of their existence. But they are just machines. Quarians are living beings. I would always choose life over machines and Mass Effect 3 is a great chance to wipe them all out. They will be trouble again sooner or later and be even more difficult to defeat.
The Geth are as alive as any Quarian. More so, in the case of some of the admirals.
And they're not machines. Technically speaking, they're code. Data. Software. Ones and zeroes.

No wait. Centuries before humans discovered FTL, humans were killing eachother by the million. Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin alone killed more people than most backwater planetary colony populations, ergo, we should kill all humans because they are the biggest threat.
