"They are just machines, their "sentience" doesn't count. It is all just software. But WE'RE different. WE'RE special because we work on chemical code and not machine code."
To me, this is an inherently flawed and closed viewpoint on what counts as sentience.

Well, Javik, it was nice knowing you.
(see what I did there?)

All I got to say is the Quarians are dumb and they're very lucky to be organic.
Also, OP. Remember that the heretics are a REALLY small part of the Geth in total. If you'd come up with another reason of why all the Geth are to be destroyed, I'd consider it. But your point of view is wrong. Like all those people said- It's like saying; "Oh, humans are in Cerberus, kill them all!"

If I reduced your brain to 1's and 0's it would still be the same, only difference is it takes a lot of them to express chemical reactions. A more accurate representation would be a number for every major neurotransmitter. This could be anywhere from 100-1000, but still rather feasible.

This seems to be echoing the egotistical view of biological life and biological sentience.

You're not even alive… not really. You're just a machine, and machines can be broken.

Nah, sorry, Tali is cool and all but...

Edit- with regards to the Quarians, it's because some philosophical nincompoop said "AI R BAD" and the the Quarians said "makes sense without evidence!"

And there in lies the basis for the starchild's argument for the existence of the Reapers, the little holo-diaper wearing pissant. If the Geth can pass the Turing test, then no other being in the galaxy is more or less valuable as an individual.
And I doubt Mordin would have approved of wiping out the Geth.

"Yo, dawg, I heard we was getting killed by synthetics. So, we sent these synthetics to kill synthetics by killing organics who are being killed by synthetics, except the synthetics we are sending are actually organics who want to kill synthetics by killing organics with organics so that synthetics won't kill the organics."

He would have been more in favour of it than wiping out the quarians, I can tell you that much. His comments about art come to mind.eddieoctane wrote...

A lot of humans kill good people in the first and second game. And then they get infected by the indoctrination virus. Then there's that part in 2 where a bunch of humans become a Reaper.
Kill all humans.
Bravo on the counter. That's good stuff.

This argument can be extended to the quarians as well; that's the point. People seem to think it's okay to judge quarians by Gerrel, but not do the same for any other race.Red Dust wrote...
The geth killed all those people, not you; don't be ridiculous. And they chose to follow Saren; they weren't forced to. And the geth have killed anyone who ever tried to contact them or enter geth space; that doesn't seem peaceful to me.
Saying all Geth followed Sarren is like saying all humans are in Cerberus. Or all Turians follow the Reapers, becuase Sarren did. Right? I mean. He's a Turian, right? Eclypse Sisterhood killed the volus merchant! Why should I care that Thessia burns! Those asari monsters are killers!

I wanted to kill the Quarians because they are morons.
This should have been your only priority when choosing who to save.
So, yeah, you should have killed the Geth.

Yes, in a way. I think killing the geth is definitely wrong, but killing the quarians is far worse.Tequila Man wrote...
Wait, BP, are you arguing against killing the Quarians whilst still disagreeing with the OP? Cus, ya know, that's pretty cool.

Forgot about that, played the game for 32 hours (excluding MP) in three days. But I also didn't want EDI on my ship for a long time, until she kept saving my life.
