This seems to be echoing the egotistical view of biological life and biological sentience.

"They are just machines, their "sentience" doesn't count. It is all just software. But WE'RE different. WE'RE special because we work on chemical code and not machine code."

To me, this is an inherently flawed and closed viewpoint on what counts as sentience.

Damn Javik! Protheans are Collectors, which means Protheans killed all those people, and maybe my crew.

Well, Javik, it was nice knowing you.

(see what I did there?)

I made peace between the Geth and the Quarians. Even though my Shepard felt so much anger towards the Quarians, esepcially after that frighter Geth squard mission where you enter that virtual world, I would never choose machines over organics.

All I got to say is the Quarians are dumb and they're very lucky to be organic.

Also, OP. Remember that the heretics are a REALLY small part of the Geth in total. If you'd come up with another reason of why all the Geth are to be destroyed, I'd consider it. But your point of view is wrong. Like all those people said- It's like saying; "Oh, humans are in Cerberus, kill them all!"

Theoretically, there is no difference between chemical and machine code. As an evolutionary biologist, I can tell you that the primate brain, while being utterly masterful with most things, is actually quite rigid and not as adaptive as one is lead to believe (primate supremacy is a fun philosophical debate).

If I reduced your brain to 1's and 0's it would still be the same, only difference is it takes a lot of them to express chemical reactions. A more accurate representation would be a number for every major neurotransmitter. This could be anywhere from 100-1000, but still rather feasible.

You're not even alive… not really. You're just a machine, and machines can be broken.

Quarians tried to wipe out them first so... yeah. Oh, look, these machines can think too much now, let's destroy them all. Nope says the Geth, ain't workin' that way. I mean seriously, Quarians were intelligent enough to actually create the Geth, but not fascinated enough to learn more about what in their created technology made their creation self-aware and suddenly turned Cavemen mode on them and wanted to bash their face.

Nah, sorry, Tali is cool and all but...

If you want to get technical about it, we are just a bunch of cells that are working together for mutual benefit.

Edit- with regards to the Quarians, it's because some philosophical nincompoop said "AI R BAD" and the the Quarians said "makes sense without evidence!"

"Shepard-Commander, the Geth only acted in defense after the creators attacked. Do we deserve death?"
How could I say yes to that :(

And there in lies the basis for the starchild's argument for the existence of the Reapers, the little holo-diaper wearing pissant. If the Geth can pass the Turing test, then no other being in the galaxy is more or less valuable as an individual.

And I doubt Mordin would have approved of wiping out the Geth.

Hilariously enough, this also dictates the Reapers are alive; thus, they should kill themselves.

"Yo, dawg, I heard we was getting killed by synthetics. So, we sent these synthetics to kill synthetics by killing organics who are being killed by synthetics, except the synthetics we are sending are actually organics who want to kill synthetics by killing organics with organics so that synthetics won't kill the organics."

He would have been more in favour of it than wiping out the quarians, I can tell you that much. His comments about art come to mind.

A lot of humans kill good people in the first and second game. And then they get infected by the indoctrination virus. Then there's that part in 2 where a bunch of humans become a Reaper.

Kill all humans.

Bravo on the counter. That's good stuff.

The geth killed all those people, not you; don't be ridiculous. And they chose to follow Saren; they weren't forced to. And the geth have killed anyone who ever tried to contact them or enter geth space; that doesn't seem peaceful to me.

Saying all Geth followed Sarren is like saying all humans are in Cerberus. Or all Turians follow the Reapers, becuase Sarren did. Right? I mean. He's a Turian, right? Eclypse Sisterhood killed the volus merchant! Why should I care that Thessia burns! Those asari monsters are killers!

This argument can be extended to the quarians as well; that's the point. People seem to think it's okay to judge quarians by Gerrel, but not do the same for any other race.

Wait, BP, are you arguing against killing the Quarians whilst still disagreeing with the OP? Cus, ya know, that's pretty cool. :D

I wanted to kill the Quarians because they are morons.

This should have been your only priority when choosing who to save.

So, yeah, you should have killed the Geth.

Yes, in a way. I think killing the geth is definitely wrong, but killing the quarians is far worse.

Rogue AI on Luna = killing stuff

EDI was the Rogue AI on Luna.

I really didn't want to pick Destroy, but, sadly, I felt it was the best option possible. The Reapers needed to be eliminated for good.

Forgot about that, played the game for 32 hours (excluding MP) in three days. But I also didn't want EDI on my ship for a long time, until she kept saving my life.

I made peace between the Quarians and the Geth, but if I had to choose one, It has to be the Geth, felt really sorry for them when I found out what really happened...
