Anyone else tired of these PG 13 romance scenes?

Why is this such an important thing about the game? Don't you appreciate the characters for who they are? And the emotional bond they can share with your protagonist?

I'm a dude though, so maybe it's different for women.

I just think there should be more to an ingame romance then five conversations and a brief sex scene. Sheperd never really develops a relationship, he just hooks up, drops them for the next game and continues on his merry way.

By that logic, why have a sex scene at all? If it's not giving me new information, engaging gameplay, or deepening my understanding of the characters, why does it even exist? It serves no purpose. It's just a bland, pointless, tittering "And then they did it."

Seriously how would sex with an asari go? They don't have genitals AFAIK...
How do you know? Where do they give birth from?
The uterus isn't a genital. Besides, for all I know the baby could come out of through the navel. They don't have sex per se, so there's no need for a channel to insert the seed.

dragon age origins did good in my opinion, the witcher 2 did the godfather of mature gaming! BUY the PC version!

From my understanding they can do both. At least that's what it seems like in some conversations in the series.

The internet is for porn. Why do you care if it is in a game?
That's just it though, I don't want it in the game. I just want the same amount of realism violence gets included in love scenes. Like what they did for ME1. Would you say that was porn? Do you think that any R rated movie with nudity is porn? Does it ruin the movie and automatically classify it as porn? Is brief nudity the trump card when it comes to deciding if something is violent or porn?
I would personally rather see something graphically sexual than something graphically violent because one holds the potential to create life while the other holds the potential to destroy it.

Having Shepard and LI say "I love you", is way more important. Do that right, and the rest is icing on the cake

It's not important, I was just posting suggestions if for some reason OP wants to see it in an RPG the witcher games have it, but I also said it's not needed, it doesn't add anything spectacularly special to the game, it actually makes more sense in the witcher world because its very violent and edgy and dark anyway, one of the most mature gaming worlds I've ever seen. Graphic sex would not make sense in Mass Effect or Dragon Age, both mature themed world's but with their own tones, the romance scenes match the tones.

Whenever I snipe somebody in the head, you don't replace that with the helmet just flying off and the guy getting knocked unconscious do you? All I ask is that you show the same amount of realism for love as you do for war.
^
kinda funny since its fine to show heads exploding into red clouds whenever you headshot someone

Graphic content depicting sex in a manner intended to induce erotic response.
Nobody's asking for that. What I'm asking is a mature, artful approach to the fact that PEOPLE OCCASIONALLY HAVE SEX AND IT AIN'T NO THANG.
As any number of books or films do.

yes. why bother? if you're going to sell this to a mature audience, then go all the way with a bit of flesh. showering with my clothes on indeed
^This. I just saw the youtube clip of Traynor & femShep in the shower together. Who on earth walks into a shower fully clothed? That just breaks the immersion for me.
Oh well, guess the ending kinda renders the point moot.

And modeling some T-shirt or whatever that Shepard uses to sleep in would not have been too difficult to prevent the bare breast moment.
Is this the right part of the forum for the thread?

They actually do because Liara's "father", the asari bartender with the smokers voice from ME2, followed her to ME3 and works at Apollo's cafe and she said "I did not pop her out" So that is how you tell who's mom and who's dad.

Yes, but that doesn't stop it being silly when two grown women are having a shower with their underwear on.
If they're that prudish, don't have the scenes at all. Just fade to black. It's not that hard, is it?
