This is bull****, now it's telling me that I'm logged-out and that I don't have a friggin internet connection while my internet connection is running very smoothly. This is just insane!

Ugh, it just did that to me too.

The worst thing about it is access to online content - this is why I hate online verification for DLC. FFS the DLC is mine, I bought it not rented it pending access to a server in another country.

Same problem here. I can connect to this social site using the browser but not inside the game (the 'Log In' button is grayed out).

I play Company of Heroes (Relic servers = awesome) and they *post* server downtime on the news page _in game_. This site is so busy / crowded I don't know where to go for main announcements etc. It needs sorting out.

right, so let me get this straight...a guy i know plays with a pirated copy of dragon age with DLC addons.

I, on the other hand, paid 80 AUD$ for my copy plus spent more money for the DLC through the bioware online store. I do this because I believe in supporting game developers, so they can keep creating more good games for me to enjoy.

Now I cannot log in due to bioware servers not being up or whatever. Aren't you meant to punish the pirates out there instead of those people who actually pay you? Why can't you have a one-time verification? I now feel like a complete idiot doing the right thing and paying for your product. This is a bad system..

This message I have only seen when uploading screenshots time out. Try disabling automatic screenshot uploading in the Options and see if you still get the message (you can turn it back on later anyways). As for needing to be logged in, I am able to play the game offline with DLC content. But I know plenty of people state they have issues loading games when they got DLC content though (for offline play), so there's definately an issue going around, but it's probably fixable with some settings (that I don't personally know since it works for me and thus I haven't got the 'means' to work on it to try fix it myself).

I get the same thing today and yesterday, yet it still uploaded 2 achievements I did so I'm not sure what that "storage" even is. The rest of my player profile isn't updating though.

Btw. I don't see it having any effect on the game at all, I can play just fine.

I got this message also after I logged in and accepted the new agreement.

My char cannot level now. I have the xp for level 10, but it is stuck at 6000/6000. The xp for new kills do not count for some reason. :(

It has nothing to do with the agreement, the problem was there before.

I get the same messages too. Glad someone made a thread about it, I thought it was all the different mods I had screwing things up. Was about to purge the folder!

Some people are lucky enough to be able to play with their DLC while offline - for me I have tried the various fixes and it never seems to stick. So I'm in limbo when that DC message hits me.

I have the same problem with the constant timeout messages. However I have no problem with my DLC. (Using the Steam version)

Like I wrote slightly above, I have seen this message before when trying to manually upload screenshots and them timing out when doing so. Like I suggested, try disable automatic screenshot uploading under Options (-> Online tab) and see if you still get the message--my guess would be that you won't. It just seems that there are issues atm. accessing the screenshot uploading (online) storage.

PS: The in-game UI for Screenshots under Player Profile shows me having -1 out of -1 max screenshots uploaded, although online it displays 61 screenshots. Communication error to the server most likely.

whenever I can't login ingame, the game refuses to load my savegames which contain DLC, stating I need to be logged in to do so. This totally sux, my DA copy and the DLC have been fully paid for, fully downloaded, fully installed, fully authorised and I can use it when i am able to login.

When the game won't let me log on to whatever server, I cannot load my savegames. I read in this and other threads that some people can load their DLC savegames anyway, even when not logged in? I'm thoroughly dissapointed with Bioware for this shoddy system of "preventing piracy"

Over the last day or so I've had the in-game warning about "You have timed out while attempting to access you online profile storage" and didn't worry about it.

Now, I've lost Starfang, etc and it's not available on any of my saves! My profile logs in OK in-game (but ovbiously not all of it).

If Bioware don't fix this ASAP, this game's getting uninstalled and not bothered with again.

I really resent this nonsense of having to access content I've paid for online in order for it to work... and this bug is a prime example of why!

Since some days I receive this message, too.

In nine out of ten gamestarts my DLC is available and I can connect to this site here, while I'm playing.

OTOH my profile didn't update for about 10 days now, new created characters don't show up.

BUT: If I achieve something, it shows up within the next seconds.

So I just started playing, but got the same error last night. Also, my Achievements are updating but my profile is not. Seems strange that it can update one thing but not the other.

EDIT: Oops should have posted under PS3. My bad. On a side note though, I no more and posted this post and my profile info finally updated. My PS3 is at home and not even turned on, so I am assuming they had the info but just needed to push a button to send it through?

Yeah, played 5 hours thinking it was nothing, went to swap in Allistair and Ohgren and LOOK both naked. DLC items vanished, no way to get them back without somehow avoiding the error and going back 5 hours.

I usually don't complain but this issue really pissed me off. Here I am buying collectors' editions and downloading all the DLC as soon as it comes out and yet I get screwed over while the pirates happily get to keep their items on their cracked install.

ffs

interesting to read. i was going to get the new DLC but i'm not going to buy content that i can't access because of a problem their end

another EA kiss of death. 2007 was a sad year for bioware games, getting bought out by those cowboys.

if they're having trouble giving people DLC that's been paid for because of server troubles, what the hell is The Old Republic going to run like?

the complaints on those forums, once it starts, will probably be more entertaining then the game itself.

It's sad but I'm not buying any DLC until this issues are fixed. I only hope that ME2 doesn't become something like this
