was wondering something.. is powerful retroactive? I.e. if you get it at lvl 15 with one char, and lvl 5 with another do you get the same health at lvl 15, vs if you took it at lvl 5?

i know in oblivion and stuff the skills and stats like this were NOT retroactive so wondering about it here.

so is that retroactive or not? i.e. if you get it at lvl 15 with one char, and lvl 5 with another do you get the same health at lvl 15, vs if you took it at lvl 5?

Yes assuming you have the stats to use the item.

Powerful reduces fatigue by 10% and adds 5 HP per level, which is retroactive and keeps growing with you. The fatigue reduction happens even if you wear no armor, and having negative fatigue does reduce stamina costs further.

Basically, it's a very powerful talent. It's easily one of the best ones in the entire Warrior tree.

I just started a new warrior character with and without "powerful".

I think the character with powerful had 25 more health. So it could be a flat one off 25 health bonus. I am not sure. I have never built a warrior character.

where in the xbox manual does it say that btw? I keep hearing 2 things one is that it just adds 25hp and one that it adds 5hp per lvl.. not sure if its retroactive or not, sushi is saying it is? the missing manual mentions just 25 hp boost. Ive seen a lot of people mentino 5hps per lvl but havent seen any documentation mentioning that

and no powerful is the first warior talent

It would be easy enough to test. Just take it at anything beyond lvl 1 and see if it adds +5 HP or +5x(current lvl) HP.

Load up a save game and look at one of your warrior's hitpoints.

I looked at Alistair. 199 health, 14 constitution and Level 10.

Warrior Base health = 100
Warriors gain 6 HP each level (Alistair had 9 level ups) = 54
+4 constitution = 20
Total = 174

Which leaves 25 HP unaccounted for

hmm tested it that way and it doesn't really work for me, because its the dog going from lvl 5>6 i got 25 hps so that could either mean its 5Xlvl retroactivly or a flat rate of 25, or hell it could be a flat rate of 25 andf then 5 per lvl afterward o_O

sean posted as i was.. hmm so it looks like it may just be a flat rate of 25 hps? what lvl did alistar take the skill? and was 10 his base constitution when he started?

I looked at my old Ostager save before I met Alistair.

He had Powerful already. He was level 4, constitution 13, Health 158.

Base health = 100

6 warrior HP for 3 level ups = 18

+3 constitution = 15

Total = 133 health (25 unaccounted for)
