When playing, and uisng the galaxy map to travel, in the past games there were notes above each galaxy where there was a mission to be done (in ME2 at least, and it did get to be a little much -0 I reqally like how you could turn quests on and off in Skyrim)). In ME3, I am not seeing those notes, except for what seems to be the main quest line (e.g. there is a note above where I am suppposd to go to some meeting/conference). Please note that in game hints is turned ON.
For example, I had to retrieve some artifact for the vendor at the presidium, so he would give some general some weaons. The quest was in my Journal, and I was able to go find the artifact, but there were no notes in the galaxy map, and after retriving it, there were no arrows pointing to the vendor, nor was he highlighted. It is as if "in game hints" is turned off for the side quests. Also, I have multiple quests for the bloodpack, blue suns, and eclipes, but no "hints" or direction appears in the galaxy maps)
If this is the way it is supposed to be, that is fine, I guess. A bit annoying, becasue with limited time to play, I like having a road map instead of going in and out of the galaxy map to reread the journal, etc. (and I loathe the thought of actually taking notes and making a physical personal log for a video game).
If this is not normal, I is my game is bugged?
Any ideas? thanks
ME3 in game hints

I thought that was a little odd too, ultimately I think A) reading through the journal and
retrieving 100% of the assets from every system, when the journal isn't specific about where to find something, are both necessary to finish all side missions.
There is one thing I can help with though: that vendor not being highlighted or pointed to. Open up your map while on the citadel, and cycle left/right through each of the other citadel maps looking for blue letters -- under each numbered section of a map there will be all characters you can talk to that are within that section. So some will just be crew members perpetually hanging out and saying the same things (and Barla Von, for some reason), but people you need to talk to (or computers you need to interface with, etc) about side missions will also appear there.
