This is the ending that should have been. I feel much less angry with ME3 after seeing that. Did not really give us a breakdown of what happened after.

But oddly fulfilling. Way better then the crap ending Bioware come up with.

Also this is way more in line with the story then the BW endigs.

If this is how easy a good ME3 (acceptable) ending can be made, why did Bioware put more effort with the varying lights ending?

This made my night! Seriously I would LOVE it if BioWare did something like that, complete with the song. You could actually keep the story just as is, gaping plot holes and all, then toss Shout in there with an epilogue for all the characters and I'd be happy.

Ah heck, these guys beat 'em to it, I wonder if there's a way I could hack this in at the end of my game.

The way you talk, nobody has ever written a happy ending for this sort of scenario before. 'a super monster wants to destroy the universe' is as old as 'a super monster wants to destroy the world'; it's the sci-fi equivalent of the standard fantasy plot.

So it's simple really: The reapers come, the reapers fail, everyone's happy.
