So there was actually supposed to be a five paragraph long essay here about my personal opinion towards the nature of Mass Effect's ending. Alas, in the moment I intended to click "Submit", I accidently hit the Back-button on my mouse which took me back to the general forums. So yeah, everythings gone and I'm pissed, but here is what I wanted to say anyway:

Happy ending ftw.
Tragic ending incoherent to the tone of the saga.
Compromise: Tragic ending for suboptimal decisions, good ending for perfect, heroic playthrough.
