I know there are a ton of threads as this but i dont think anyone tried to do this like i want to.
I wanna create a Singleplayer Char. ill prolly just pick the party members for sidequests and stuff.
Sooo the class i am aiming for is a Warrior. Probably 2h. Caus it just looks nice and well its sorta my playstyle:D
Questions regarding some Choices.
Specs: Wich would you guys go for if i solo? Champion / Reaver? or Templar / champion
Stats: I guess using as much Con as possible is a must, but what about some Dex to dodge some attacks? any usefullness for a Warrior?
Gear: Armor -> Any particular set? Like wardens Keep armor? or Wades? For starters its gonna be the BloodDragon Armor caus yeah well you get it "for free" with the dlc`s.
Another question is if its possible to pic single set items and get a better overall equipment due to stats from those items then weaing a full set?
Trinkets and stuff : Well i found a buyable Belt wich pretty much owns everything, and besides the Preorder rings i havent found anything better for starters. Later on its gonna be the Key to the city and hmm dunno what ill be using for the second slot. Amulet will probably be Spellward. Tho i found a necklace that had 12 con on it or something like that.
Weapon : Aiming for Starfang ( i think thats what its called ) for the Endgame, but during id prolly gonna use Ageless or the other Big one you get before that.. dunno the name tho. Suggestions?
K Last but not least: Extra Tallents . Power of Blood: well since it actually drains Health its prolly not good to dring the blood you find but whats the point of not drinking it?
And always keep in mind i am trying to Solo the Game on Either Normal or Hard, probably normal first to test some stuff out.
Thx in advance.

I know that skill points are a scarce resource, but I'd recommend 2 ranks of herbalism, so you can make health potions and lesser injury kits. Obviously you want all four ranks in Combat Training too. You might consider 2 ranks in Trap Making, so you have a means of crowd control.
I'll keep thinking about this, and post more later.

Good luck, soloing a warrior is nasty i think.
WHat if you are struck with curse of mortality? What if your rooted/paralyzed/stunned etc etc.

Yeah the rooted / paralize stuff sucks. I think there is a recipe to create potions to cure paralize stuff but im not sure. Hmm:D

You can't solo the game with a warrior.

Yes, warrior seems like it would be the hardest class to solo in. In order to succeed, you'd have to be very intelligent about your use of strategy.Miguelitoson wrote...

You'd want the ability to do damage from afar, so give your warrior a bow, take a few ranks in trap making, and get in the habit of placing traps in front of closed doors, opening the door and then running back out of the way to pelt the trapped enemies with arrows. By the time they break free, they'll be softened up.
Also, I think you really want to be a Templar. One of your big problems will be enemy magic. The only ways to survive this will be to kill them before they cast, immobilize them before they cast, or to negate spell casting before they can cast.
This is going to be hella hard. Mage? Easy peasy. Rogue? harder but still doable. Warrior? Good luck to you. I'm not sure I'd want to try. Now, Warrior + Leliana or warrior + dog? That, I'd try.

I had a pretty tough warrior and she got obliterated by one spell...
Not completely, of course, but I imagine things wouldn't have gone so well if she didn't have some party members to beat off the horde. Still, good luck.

Soloing it means he won't need many injury kits, if he falls in battle there's probably no need to fix a broken bone. However, should he come across the one trap in the game that can cause injury then yeah, maybe.
2h warrior might be a decent one to pick but I definitely don't recommend taking herbalism. Take one rank traps, one rank poison, two ranks survival, max your combat, and probably persuade, maybe stealing if you've got nothing better to do.
Skills, don't worry about taunt (except for redcliffe it probably won't be worth it) start working towards two hand swing, then go for the first tree while pumping your top warrior tree when you can. You might take a couple ranks in archery (I strongly suggest going down the arrow of slaying tree)
I don't know about equipment... Though the starfang was great!

Even if there is, you can't drink a potion when you're paralyzed.Sub0riz0r wrote...

Come to think about it, it might be possible to solo with a 1H/Shield Warrior using Templar to get 100% magic resistance. In the right armor, you can get high enough armor to make most enemies deal 1 damage, but I'm not sure you can do that AND get 100% magic resistance. (which requires using Knight Commander's Armor)
It would definitely require getting some really good armor really early, and a lot of health potions.

Well, I think it would be quite impossible to solo the game with the equipment found in game. Everything in the game is directed towards party makeup. However, if you created your own equipment with the DA Toolset, it's quite possible because you'd have very overpowered gear to make up for the lack of a party.

Alright. Thanks for all the comments:D
Main problem are Ranged classes wich during the time i try to get to them most of the time just own me. Tho as a templar i could stun em for a while and stuff. but yeah i guess its not realy doable.
2nd thought: How about a archer? any chances there?

Archer Rogue is one of the easier solos. Ranger/Bard gives you decent CC, and with the dex patch they can out dps mages. Max your stealth and your pets.
