So,

I was in the Denerim Back alley and the phylactery for one of the Revenants was there.  I knew from my first playthrough that I wasn't ready to face it yet, but I figured what the heck and tried anyway.  So, I died, I reloaded and came back and it was there.  Left the area to come back later when I was ready and now it's gone.  

Is this a known bug or am I missing something?

The Revenant isn't actually in any of the alley areas - it's in a one-time random encounter area.

You either kill it then, or leave it to its slumber.

Seriously? So there's no way to kill all of them if you don't do it right then? Or is there a hope of it popping up somewhere else later?

Do you get anything for killing the six other than the stuff they have on them? From all the scraps of paper it is clear there are 6 of them. I've killed them all, yet this doesn't do anything (not even a mention in your codex).

You get some rather boring shield from the final kill. Other than that nothing I'm aware of.

Killed them all to, and for all that work you put in 2 them they drop BAD lot.



if your not doing the mage qs then you get a pretty good armor.

I got Keening Blade off of him as well, which is pretty badass. Only sword in the game to rival the starmetal blade you get in the DLC.

I think that one is got from Gaxkang, which is in the dirty back alley. And yeah, that sword is a heckfull heaven's blessing.

I made a quick mod to take the party back to the random encounter in Denerim where you find the revenant: http://www.dragonage...le.php?id=3007. It works on my machine but leave a post if it doesn't work for you.
