Why does everyone act like the story is 100000000000000000000000000% completed?

Does no one think that Bioware would be aware of how they ended the game and actually have plans for ME3?

You're right. They're gonna hand us out more DLC which is playable BEFORE the ending.

Seriously, the point remains. This was supposed to be THE ending. 100% completion. The big send off. We were supposed to get answers and closure to our stories. Bioware weren't supposed to leave us hanging with 'WHAT?' All the choices we've made along the way were supposed to matter. The player was supposed to get their pay-off. Instead, we got pick your favourite colour... red, blue or green?

they did answer your questions and told what happened to your shepard and explained how the unisverse turns out. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean the answers aren't there they just aren't the answers you wanted

They never explained how the universe turned out.

I'm not even sure if people are still alive, I mean is anybody even alive? The mass Relays just blew up? Surely the blast would kill everyone inside those system right? Oh, but how did Joker escape Earth? How did Joker escape that blast? How could Joker survive that crash and land on a tropical plannet? Wasn't he fighting with the fleet? That plannet can't possibly be located in the Sol system, right? Wait, unless Joker, hit the relays before it was destroyed? But then that means he wasn't fighting? And how did my two companions that were on Earth end up with Joker all of a sudden? Wait, now Shepard is drawing breath? Is he dead? I don't know...

Yeah, I got no answers. No closure. I'm not even going to get in with the whole dealo involving the magical starchild. It made no sense.

You want everything wrapped up in a pretty little bow. I don't. I choose to believe this universe as a living, breathing entity that we can come back to in DLCs and future games. Does that mean I'm stupid, or does that mean I simply have a different point of view than you?

No I don't want everything wrapped up in a pretty little bow. I just refused to swallow BS that makes no sense.

You're right, I don't stop. Because you keep spreading misinformation and propaganda as fact. You are intellectually dishonest and I despise that.

I don't stop because I liked the endings, and on these boards that's a capital offense, but I refuse to kotow to you bullies and give up my opinions because you tell me to.

I don't stop because you've GOTTEN the attention of BioWare, and instead of turning and starting constructive discussions, you continually try and browbeat people into falling into line, you continually play the victim card, you continually create and invade threads to shove your agenda down people's faces.

So no. I don't stop. I was content to let this whole divide be until your side started ripping me for liking the endings. That pissed me off and now I will defend my point of view as much as I have to.

Oh, you have got to be ****ting me...

1. Spreading misinformation and propoganda as fact is pretty much what we're accusing Bioware of in the first place. Saying that they lied is not misinformation, it's exactly what they did. It's not hype to say you won't do something, and then go ahead and do exactly that anyway!

2. The problem is, people literally cannot comprehend why you would like the endings. They're full of last-minute plot holes (as somebody just pointed out above), lazy writing, a lack of any closure, and the exact ending we were told we would not be getting. Something is fundamentally wrong with your argument if you can ignore all of that and then try to defend that position.

3. You're only describing part of the movement, and a lot of this isn't even true. Not to mention, I'm not sure if it's physically possible to shove something down a person's face...

4. Lastly, RED! BLUE! GREEN! PICK ONE AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!

See how disappointing that was? You were expecting closure, but got colors.

I would, but I'm currently out of town away from my X-Box. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that having a life meant that I can't still like the ending to a video game?

Well then, since you got what you wanted... Don't you think it's time to stop agruing with people who want their ending to play out differently?

If it makes you feel better, I am an ending-hater and I do happen to agree with you in that, though BioWare did not outright lie to us, they definitely overhyped what they did, and I'd say, assuming they knew where they were going at the time, deliberately misled us.  Which is a huge d*ck move, but is still not really an outright lie.

Also, I think you're perfectly welcome to like the endings, though I do disagree with your opinion.  I certainly don't think you're stupid for doing so, I simply see that you have different tastes than I.  I'm sorry that the people you've had to talk to have been so rude, and I really hope that you don't take them as representative of the entire Hold the Line movement.

Seriously, bro, I would've been happier if my Shepard's story ended in ME1. Now that I know what happens. Image IPB

Seriously? ****ing seriously? I'm happy with the endings, so it's fine to slag me for it? I get called a noob, which I disprove, I get called a bioware plant, I get called an idiot, and now you're flat out calling me stupid because I liked ME3.

No wonder I hate your "movement". The condescenion and arrogance coming from you assclowns makes me want to vomit.

A) I dont see where he called you stupid
B) We`re that serious about this movement we find it so hard to believe someone who has invested as much time as you say could like these endings
C) I`ve only seen curses and names come from you
D) everything i`ve said is strictly my opinion hence "IMO" and not a matter of fact so relax

Really? The utter condescenion in saying that "If that's the case, it sounds like your Shepard's story could've ended right in the middle of ME2 and you'd still be content.", as though I'm not good enough to understand why I should hate the ending to ME3 isn't calling me stupid? REALLY? Sure, okay.

And again, the condescenion. "We`re that serious about this movement we find it so hard to believe someone who has invested as much time as you say could like these endings" How DARE I have an opinion that's different from yours. How DARE I. God. That makes me sick. If you've only seen curses and names coming from me, it's because you're not paying attention.

Oh, and I used "IMHO" too, so that makes it okay, right? RIGHT?  After all, if you can slag someone and follow it with "IMHO", that means it's okay...

Now your just playing the victim in every aspect I dont condone what everyone else is saying to you right now but you are taking stuff way too personally and I dont even think you know what condecending means because what you said makes no sense

Thank you for your civility. I have also been insulted in all manner of ways, not because I support the ending (I was greatly disappointed by it) but because I am trying to be civil, encourage others to be civil, and am trying to get respectful disagreements more widespread (like what you have just done. Thank you.)

However, I have been called retard, uneducated, had several inappropriate comments made about my personal life (which no one who made the comments would know about anyway) my age, and almost every facet of what I am brought into question and outright insulted because....I don't know why.

That's their way of being civil.

I've had death threats for saying I liked the game and explaining why.

They say we're not uncivil, and I suppose there are some, but really? At least our side doesn't resort to violence and wishing harm on people who don't think the way they do.

Most of them are not capable of being civil and I don't know why. They claim that they are, but actions state otherwise.

And I'm sorry you were trolled :( It's no fun, I know.

Agreed. Too many questions, no closure.
The rest of ME3 wasn't much clearer:  How did the Reapers get the Citadel to earth? Why not use the Conduit to get to the Citadel instead of running up to a Reaper. Where was Harbinger and why was he so quiet? Assuming Direct Control was not needed? Why didn't the Reapers target the Normandy instead of those passenger ships with the little boy in it? How did the Rachni-queen get cloned and from what? What happened to the people on board the Citadel as it was moved (somehow)? How did the Crucible get built if no one knows it's function? How did the Illusive Man even get on the Citadel in the end? How was he controlling Shepards movements? Why did he make Shepard raise his gun, then stand in front of him?

These are just off the top of my head and I have not played all missions but still.

Firstly, BioWare never lied, except about multiplayer. Sorry. Assumes facts not in evidence. Their statements did not live up to your expectations, and I am sorry for that, but it's NOT a lie.

Secondly, there have been many people posting many interpretations of WHY they liked the endings. What worked for them, what didn't. What they'd like to see in DLC, and what they hope doesn't change. And it doesn't MATTER if you can't comprehend why I like the ending, all that matters is that you ACCEPT THAT I DO AND NOT CALL ME NAMES FOR IT LIKE AN ACTUAL HUMAN BEING. God. Damn. I can't understand why people like Justin Beiber, but I don't troll his forums calling his fans idiots.

Thirdly, BioWare has come out and said "we're listening to feedback". How is that not even true? They want to make DLC and they want fan support, both anti-ending and pro-ending. Be constructive, and protip - don't tell people who think differently that you want them to die, even in sarcasm.

Fourthly, PURPLE, ORANGE, MAUVE. I got closure. So why are you trying to tell me that I didn't.

hahaha. I'd rather quote Alistair from Dragon Age Origins

It's like a party. We can all sit together and hold hands. That'll give the darkspawn something to think about.

When Pax rolls around and all that's announced is an Omega DLC plus a Mappack. It'll be back, and stronger than ever.

That's their way of being civil.

I've had death threats for saying I liked the game and explaining why.

They
say we're not uncivil, and I suppose there are some, but really? At
least our side doesn't resort to violence and wishing harm on people who
don't think the way they do.

Most of them are not capable of being civil and I don't know why. They claim that they are, but actions state otherwise.

And I'm sorry you were trolled :( It's no fun, I know.

Well, it isn't fun, but I just thought of that scene in "The Dark Knight" when the mob tries to shoot and kill Harvey Dent in the middle of a trial. Rachel has a good line.

I stand firm with my own opinion.

And that's an entirely valid option. I wish you could accept that I'm standing firm with my own opinion that simply happens to be different than yours. But apparently, the fact that I don't agree with you means I'm somehow less than you.

I refuse to buy another bioware product until they fix the ending. All the same, good luck to em.
