I'm sorry, I'm just on edge from being attacked constantly. I shouldn't have jumped down your throat.

But Scrubs is on now, and hopefully that can help bring me back down to normal.

Thanks for your support, I do appreciate it.

No problem. And happy to help. I didn't take it personally.

If it makes you feel better, I am an ending-hater and I do happen to agree with you in that, though BioWare did not outright lie to us, they definitely overhyped what they did, and I'd say, assuming they knew where they were going at the time, deliberately misled us.  Which is a huge d*ck move, but is still not really an outright lie.

Not a cool move, BioWare.

No, it wasn't a cool move.

Agreed.

I only came here a couple days before the release date. Don't cry for me.

Heckman procedure. Just because a poll is self-selecting and biased, doesn't mean it has no information.

Lots of talented people in the majority.

Yes. It does. The poll didn't use a random sample. The questions were worded in ways to get specific responses. The poll was advertised as "come vote on how much you hated the endings". It allowed people to vote multiple times. As a statistical analysis, the poll - and polls on the other sites as well, because they're pulling from the same tainted pool - is completely and utterly invalid. You cannot draw ANY sort of data from it.

I don't get how you can say this poll is good data when it is tainted in every. Single. Way. Imaginable.

The sample size is too large and the results are too lopsided to contain zero information. Plus, there is corroborating evidence.

The sample size is too large due to new multiple votes and vote-bombing, same with the lopsided results - in addition to the fact that the poll was worded and advertised in order to garner one specific result, meaning people who feel differently have absolutely zero motivation to participate in the vote. As for the corroborating evidence? It still draws fro the same tainted pool as this poll, and should be discounted for the same reasons.

Statistics 101.

That, and a couple of threads in the story section, some of which have reached thousands of pages long.  Yeah, probably a reasonable portion of it is just the same people chattering on it, but consider also that there are people like me who only post once or twice, just because I want to state my opinion and leave it at that.

There are a lot of people that dislike the endings.  Some are much more vocal about it than others, but you cannot deny that there are many.  I can't say how many, but it is obviously a fairly large amount, considering the amount of media the ending debate is getting, and that BioWare has actually responded to it (albeit in a very distant way).

And I do agree that the poll is flawed, at least the one I voted on, in more than one way.

No, it wasn't a cool move. But it was the exact reason I avoid publicity for things I'm looking forward to in order to try and make up my mind on my own. I'm sorry that you were let down by the hype, I TRULY am. But maybe I'm just more used to disbelieving the hype so that I don't get my expectations up.

No you are thoroughly desensitized (and ignorant), i experienced no hype at all and i am still angry about the endings

I simply don't want to be looked down on and condescended to because I DID like the endings, and you disagree with people doing that as well. So we have a basis to have actual discussions, not flame wars.

Just created a poll that has several options. Please vote only once. It covers Mass Effect leading up to Kai Leng's final boss fight.

what about the one on ign's facebook page, last i saw it was 6,000 to only 1100, or like 40,000+ people who liked the Demand a new ending page seems more unbiased to me

Go ahead and speculate that multiple votes, vote-bombing, and poor wording destroyed the poll. Minor influences.

You just don't want to believe any of the evidence. The polls and reviews are hiding the truth.

Go ahead and believe that.

You have every right to express your opinion, and while they have it as well, many of them who have attacked people (such as yourself) have crossed lines.

Father Jerusalem hasn't insulted anyone, called someone an idiot, ignorant, and openly acknowledges the disagreement in a peaceful matter. How is that starting a flame war?

Even minor influences, and these are in no way minor influences, destroy the integrity of a poll. You cannot have scientifically accurate results with corrupted data. You just can't.

*Sigh* do you realize that you could end the flame war (at least on your front) by simply not calling him ignorant, or any of the other insults you have up your sleeve?

If you want to have a debate, then debate the statements he makes, not his character.  That's what a flame war is, and you're not helping to douse it.  If you want him to stop, you should first stop yourself.

how far back did you look, because you missed something back a couple of pages he(using his ignorance) thoroghly angered most of the people who (who tried to show him how he was wrong) were there at the time and he came out (after having instigated a small flame war) saying he was a victim, anyway it is late bye everyone:D

ME3 sales dropped 74% in the second week:

DA2 sales dropped only 66%. And DA2 was a dog.

Corrupted data, right?
