I liked DAO a lot, I bought all the DLCs, I followed with interest the news about DA2's development, preordered DA2.

I didn't like DA2, I expressed my point of view on this very forum during the first few weeks, I didn't buy the DLCs, I do not care the slightest about DA3's development news.

If I don't like ME3 as much as I didn't like DA2 I won't spend my life on this forum, I'll simply vote with my wallet on Bioware's future DLCs and Mass Effect related products.

If I like ME3 I won't spend my life on this forum either, I'll simply buy the DLCs and keep interested in Bioware's next product that I may well again preorder.

DLCs and Bioware's next game will be the real indicator of how much people did or didn't like ME3, not how much noise there is on this forum and how long it will last.

Never. Why? Because no matter what Bioware does it won't be enough for them. They'll keep complaining and complaining until they run all the true fans away that support Bioware.

It might blow over on the forums or at a surface level but consider the long term implications. If the fans, who are likely some of the most passionate members of the fanbase, feel that Bioware did a disservice by refusing to address our grievances, then they will lose faith in the brand.

The most passionate and involved fans is not an asset that any company wants to lose.

The furor isn't what should concern Bioware though. The lost customers should.  Furor doesn't cost them money
 (outside the impact it has on sales).  The furor will of course die down, but hopefully Bioware will realise they have to do something to repair their relationship with consumers (as in the end that is what will drive future sales).

Pretty much this.  Given EA's recent quality and sales trends,  as well as public opinion,  I'd venture they're also at risk of losing the NFL and FIFA licenses.  The NFL is only giving them one year extensions as it is.  If the FTC picks this up,  the licenses are gone,  and EA will go with it.

Waiting for this to "blow over" is pretty much the worst thing they could do.

It'll be over soon, already the "movement" has lost a lot of steam and people are moving on.

It looks like its following about the same timeline as DA2 firestorm did.

Once the first DLC is announced, regardless of what it is, everyone will be talking about that instead.

Then when DA3 comes out it'll start all over again, just like it always does (ME1 is such a crappy console port! DA:O is like BG2 with less stuff and more bugs! ME2 isn't even an RPG! DA2 is half-finished! ME3's ending killed my dog! etc...)

Are you sure you know the fan base?  Some people have more than 10 Shepards invested in this series.  Mass Effect isn't just another game to these folks.  I only have half that, but there are others who would agree with me that this isn't going away any time soon.  Mass Effect has an extremely dedicated fan base.  And it's not the number of Shepards one has, I only use that as an example.   I'm just saying this isn't going to go away any time soon.

Won't be any time soon, people are too angry that their beloved ME has been treated with such disdain at the end by the people who supposedly 'loved' it as much as we did while they were make it.

You gotta hand it to Bioware though... Up until this happened I'd have sworn it would be impossible for a gaming company to completely alienate it's fanbase in the space of 10-15 minutes... but they managed it.  Kudos to them.

They are making thread after thread day after day the same crap AND when someone makes a positive thread they troll it with again, their whines and complaints. It's sad, the boards need more active mods to shut this type of behavior down. If you can't complain constructively, it should be closed.

There could be a complaints on ending thread, and leave the rest of the boards to people who actually want to talk about Mass Effect 3? Everytime someone asks a question or makes one it gets buried so fast

I know of some that are on a lot, we just have to keep reporting them to the mods themselves. Thats what I do.

They do, and its annoying as hell.

But they'll "hold the line" that they're civil and not trolls to the death, I swear.
