How on earth do you queue up spells? Are you telling me that you CAN'T queue up more than one spell at a time? Okay, I'll admit that this is probably the dumbest question asked at this forum so far - but seriously, without resorting to name calling, how is it done?

Im pretty sure you can only queue up one.

Seems like all you want is NWN2 with this, maybe you should trade Dragon Age in and just go back to that?

This is more real time than KotOR and NWN2.

Pause more?

from my understanding you can't but you can hot key things to do them on the fly......with the puase feature there really isn't a point to have the option

One action at a time. The battlefield changes a bit too quickly in Dragon Age for queuing up orders to be useful.

It's often better to think in terms of combining actions from different party members or debilitating your enemies long enough to cast the deadlier spells like blizzard to finish them off.

That said, it is possible to assign commands like use potion while in the middle of casting a longer spell.

Yeah, I'm beginning to see that this game is a lot different than what I was expecting. A great, great game is starting to emerge here....

But, wow, this just isn't the game I thought it was going to be.

Maybe you should try using your camera to cast the spell

This game has a tactics system similar to Final Fantasy XII. Meaning you program your allies' actions based on the situation and they act accordingly. It is a more in depth tactics system than just setting the "AI" like NWN was.

Hey WabeWalker,it really does sound like you expected a spin off to NWN2,DA:O is the successor to BG2.

Having played the game at Wardens Quest last week, I agree with Craig ... there were a few times that I would have liked to queue up a few orders, but most of the time, it would not have been useful to do so ... I would have ended up changing things due to changes in the encounter.

But could you do a queuing if you wanted to, if say in a big DLC... or making a pool/survey about features the players want? :o

this game is otherwise great, but it is just silly when some of you defend the lack of queue.

for example, when I send alistair to kill a mage it would be practical to be able to queue all his special attacks to kill him quickly.

right now, he often go, hit him once, then decides to go after someone else.

forcing constant pausing and switching between character every 2 seconds to make sure he does what you want.

I really don't know what bioware was thinking when they decided not to include a queue system.

Unless that mage gets a vulnerability hex on alistair while he's running up and then casts drain life and suddenly alistair is stuck in a que of actions and you'd really like him to stop and take a potion but... eek, reload.
