I DONT WANT THE ENDING TO CHANGE! Do you guys realize that most people that liked it or loved it aren't even WRITING in these threads? Don't delude yourselves, people have differing opinions than yours.

Exactly, because the people that love it, don't have anything to complain about.

I really don't care.

I didn't play for 3 games to be denied the chance to see the impact of my final choice.

Also I've tried asking people who enjoyed the ending to explain why, and to explain the problems. Most of them can't So forgive me if I don't treat your opinion as anything worth it when I can invalidate it with facts.

If they add DLC for an alternate ending what's keeping you from *not* downloading it? I don't get it.

You don't see how adding a "Win" alternative would completely invalidate the existing endings?

Broken sensibilities.

Players not asking for alternative. Asking for continuation to real ending. Asking for current "ending" to exist, as well as content after what is clearly not the conclusion to story.

Besides, Shepard lives in one of them, so there's already a "win" ending.

But it's so minute an acknowledgment that people are rightly asking for clarification and continuation of it.

I don't care how many people ask me to do something; if I don't believe them capable of giving useful direction, I will ignore them.

And what about adding new endings? How exactly does that negatively impair the current ones?

I don't see how adding new endings, regardless of content, would alter how much you enjoyed the orginal endings

Unless you're just worried they'd be better and you'd want them instead, in which case, you seem to be on the wrong side of the fence.

Precisely.

Plausibility of passionate love for this ending based solely on its content is slim.  More likely standing by Bioware as company, third party influences.

Difficult to imagine one finds this "preferred" ending if asked about five weeks ago.

Do you honestly expect them to admit that the ending is terrible?

And again, why do you seem to think it has to be those who liked it vs. those who did not.

They can ADD NEW ENDINGS. There is no reason why the current endings have to change. There is no reason why those in favour vs. those against should even exist. The numbers of people who like it as it is compared to those who do not is a non-issue, because additional endings do not create a conflict between those two different interests.

All that matters is the large amount of unhappy fans who should be given the chance to end the game as was advertised to them. This is not in direct conflict with those of you currently happy.

How many times....

This is highly amusing.

I agree.  Since I'm a 'straw-grabbing hippy' aka Indroctrination Theory head, I'm content at the moment . . . (a reveal would sooth what little doubts I do have however BW. . . lol).

I think I might go and play a week of TOR solidly, then come back to the internet, and hope for an announcement.
I bloody love TOR.. good times (and I can practise space magic legally there too.. yay!)

Could it be a PR manoeuvre to deflect those who would like some ending added to go against those who love them insead of focusing Bioware ?

Stay civil guys, there is no need to take at each other faces.

"Plenty of feedback"? That's interesting, especially that it points to a conclusion that majority of people who liked the ending are using Twitter and nothing else (BSN, Facebook). Standard PR tactic. I'll continue holding the line, thank you.

Also this. I have yet to see a single person justify how ending DLC lessens the current endings. It's already a world about choice, other people already have a different world so how does making it slightly more different negatively affect you? Hell, why should it bother someone that someone else's game ended differently anyway?

That he/she/whoever is writing is getting this impression is surprising if you take a look at their twitter feed.

So, hold the line!

Edit: Ok, if someone can tell me how to properly implement Twitter-Messages I would be grateful.

Really cause I don't see a massive amount of them defending it on the forum polls or message board....hummmm. Must be another Mass Effect site we are not allowed to enter I guess unless we liked the original ending. Someone just come clean and fix the problem.

Why are you guys getting so angry over a simple statement? All it is a twitter message saying some people liked the ending... You guys are honestly getting out of control. It's starting to scare me a bit, this whole retake movement is taking on a real cult mentality. It started out as a simple ending dlc movement, and it has quickly turned into a bunch of vile human beings spitting hate every which way if everyone doesn't agree with their opinion 100%

you know the reason a DLC would work?

is because it doesnt mean you HAVE to download it and perminatly change the ending to the game you complete idiot.

it means that the user has the CHOICE whether to use alternative endings or not so stop complaining about complainers.  fml. so sick of people like you, you just jump on us because you think we want to perminately get rid of the ending without any choice for the people that liked it?  WE DONT. learn to read before you jump down our throats k?

You mean kinda like how that crap ending invalidated all the rest of the choices in the game?

Sorry, but you lost me. If they do release new endings and you don't want them, don't get them.

IF Bioware turns their back on us they turn their back on Mass Effect!

To ignore the flaws of the ending requires that you are:
1)Not heavily invested in the franchise
2)Didn't give it much thought. in other words you treated it superficially like you would a summer action movie.
3)don't really care, in which case you shouldn't mind a change
4) Beleive that covering up mistakes goes against some moral code (the ludicrous art argument)

We are the people who saw the ending did mass effect a huge disservice. It undoes the franchise!
To listen to those who praise it rather than those who took the time to properly explain the flaws is denial.
They don't want to hear it so they'll continue to make the same mistakes. Bioware won't grow if it doesn't listen

I'm not saying write what the fans want, I am saying go back and fix it. It's broken!

Hold the line!

Most of you are victims of confirmation bias. You agree with points that agree with your hypothesis and you are blind to things that disagree with it.

Exposure to these message boards is causing your opinion to grow steadily more negative and causing your righteous indignation to climb steadily upward. Until the whole internet stupor blows over and you start to come back down to Earth.
