It only seems civil because you agree with most of whats being posted. I am referring to the fact that the retake movement is to the point where they won't even discuss the ending. I have seen several threads from gamers who wanted to actually legitamately discuss the ending, unfortanately, those threads get overran with a constant amount of "HE LIKED THE ENDING!? HE MUST BE AN IDIOT! HE PROBOBLY ISNT A FAN OF THE SERIES!!! HE'S GOT TO BE TROLLING!!" I'm not talking about insulting, I am referring to the general lack of common sense that you all seem to posess. You guys just cannot fathom that some people like the ending how it is. As I stated earlier, just wanting an ending dlc at the start was fine, but you guys have got to stop attacking other people who enjoyed it.

I suggest you read some of those threads again and look at them objectively.

I think you'll find the majority of them, the OP who states they liked the ending also puts in comments like this "and anyone who argues the ending is objectively bad is talking nonsense" or "and everyone complaining about the ending being bad is just a whiner."

Most of their posts incite.

Anyway, i guess that someone got a bit angry on his twitter shift, and i do not believe that this was an official statement. I don't believe that it is fun to hear complaints all day at work, espacially since it is not their fault, because they didn't wrote the ending. Just remember how fast that ominous facebook post disappeared yesterday. I 'd not be surprised, if they send out Jessica Merizan to extinguish that fire(again).

So far, nothing has changed.

Everyone is at each other's throats when there is a reasonable, middle ground solution that satisfy BOTH camps; make an optional downloadable ending that BUILDS upon the current endings. That way, whoever liked the current endings can simply NOT download it. Those who are complaining (us, the Retake ME3 people), will be happy.

Both camps happy. Minimal dissatisfaction.

I read youtube comments all the time, it's not half as bad as the crap I have read here in the last week. The vast majority of people sound like they are calling out for Bioware blood.

Mate, if you want to understand why, spend a day on these forums or looking at some of the links posted in the "endings hate" threads from the perspective that you hate the endings and they've ruined your experience of ME.

If you do that you'll understand why. The vitroil is coming from the disrespect, abhorrence and silence. It is coming from the PR stunts and blatant bull****. It is coming from the fact there is no good reason to not produce the capability for additional endings except $$$.

It is like arguing with someone who you know is wrong, and that person knows they are wrong too, but no matter how much you destroy them in the argument with hard facts, evidence and data, they will persist and won't admit it. They'll even add in some sarcastic and snide comments, to boot.

That is what it is currently with BW, and that kind of thing will anger people especially when dealing with snide little comments like posted on Twitter.

Your retake movement is taking even the slightest disagreements as personal attacks. Why the heck would Bioware want to talk to you? You certainly do not deserve to what you are asking for. It's great that some people like the ending, and I'd be fine with that if I could identify a single thing worthy of praise in it.  Sadly, my entire being is telling me that it is wrong... all wrong, on a fundamentally primal level, like incest, or chewing on a cadavre.

Actually, EA is probably the ones that would make them fix this mess.

Corporations money.
Mass Effect Franchise = lots of money.
Upset Customers != money.
Bad Reviews = not making money.

If this situation cost EA even a million dollars, people in Bioware would get fired.  EA would then hire someone that fixes it so they continue making money.

Again, I point you, like Tobyferguson, to the fact the majority of posts supporting the endings are littered with snide comments that jab at those who dislike the endings, which incite such posters.

Those comments which simply say "I like the ending and this is why" do not receive such venom. Sure, they may be argued with, but the responses are not venomous and if they are, they are talked down by fellow Retake members.

Come on, you have to see that the vitriol is coming both ways here. And it sucks hard from both sides.

If people liked the endings, well I cannot agree with them at all, but I accept it.  But you are 100% right, people shouldn't be trolled for liking them.

Additionally, people shouldn't go into the indoctrination threads or hold the line threads JUST to insult supporters by calling them whiny, irrational, delusional, lacking common sense, etc. etc. Also, some of the stuff that people on destructoid have said about people who are unahppy is genuinely uncalled for and spiteful.

This run-around PR bullsh!t is annoying. I wish BW would just give us a "YES, we're gonna do something about it" or "NO we aren't changing anything, so go f*ck yourself" statement. I'd like to decide sooner rather than later whether I'm going to remain a customer.

Yes, fixing the existing ones to remove the plot holes, then adding alternatives is the best course of action.

That feeling isn't an affront on behalf of the endings, those are political opinions.

They are saying BW shouldn't budge because, essentially, they don't believe a company should budge for its fans rather than not budging because they like the ending as is and don't want to see it added to.

Already settled.  Indoctrination Theory accounts for plot holes that already exist.  Allows for seamless transition.

Oh really? I made several threads attempting to discuss the ending after I had just completed the game, I had no opinion either way, no where in my post does it say anything about who's right or wrong. I simply tried to explain some of the common misconceptions and I got my head bit off by people saying I was Trolling, an idiot, a bioware employee, and countless others. You are blind to that which you agree with, you only see what you disagree with.

We at the take back ME movement are truly sorry you feel that way. Just remember that we are listening and
take your concerns seriously. Now how about you tell us something about the movement you like?
