Is anyone surprised people like the ending?

Keep in mind a lot of people like awful things. Two and A Half Men is one of the most watched shows in America. Katy Perry is one of the most listened to music acts.

Most of the people I see liking the ending, like it for very generic reasons. They don't care about how it fits with the rest of the plot, they just care that Shepard sacrificed himself for the greater good. So it's tragic, and heroic.

Bleh.

Losing faith in humanity.

Thank You.^

True... what bioware needs to realize is that even if by some miracle the people who liked based off of taking at face value (Non-indoc theory), were the majority, they still screwed over their die hard fans.

I myself am a huge fan of ME. The universe to me was such a fascination to me... there are times i wished I lived there, even if it meant getting zombified by a reaper...

And they give an ending that not only destroys most of the lore, it destroys the universe along with it...

To me their ending would be a kin to the end of a western where during the final confrontation between a ranger and some bandit leader, a portal opens up, a geth steps out and shoots both of them in the head.
The geth then walks back through the portal, it collapses and causes the universe to implode...

Just a giant WTF moment... where did the portal come from? Why did the geth shoot both of them in the head? Why does portal closing cause the universe to implode? WTF?

They know we exist, a blind, deaf man would know we exist.

So twitter counts more to them than these forums? D:

Well yeah...everything since ME2 has basicly been "Twitter this or Facebook that".

I especially loathe the whole "facebook is the new internet" corporate fad we see everwhere...It's stupid as *bleep*.

Frankly, I'm amazed at the laziness of todays (hired) webmasters, It's not hard to make a frickin poll you lazy know-nothing *bleep*s, sure you'll probably save 3 minutes by making one on facebook and link to it from the site but Biowars's a company, not some teenager for G-mans sake. Heck even the forums have polling-capabilities, there's no reason to do this unless they purposefully want to diminish their demographic to mindless jersey shoreians.

I think that is Great that you liked the ending and I am glad you didn't find any issues
I wish i could feel the same.

Maybe you can help me clear up a few questions I had about the game

Did you try all 3 endings?
If so then why when you choose the red ending Destroy the reapers
Do the geth and EDI get destroyed.
I was able to remove the reaper code from there hub so how did the weapon effect them
and EDI had no Reaper code

If you chose the Green ending Then why was Joker changed to part organic and part synthetic
But EDI remained the same.

If the Cruciple was created by past civilazations , How come the GodChild knew what it would do
and besides that why would past civilazations create a weapon that would leave them such bad choices
and also destroy their way of getting around the universe.

and in the final scenes of the grandfather and child on the planet not Organic and synthetic when I choose the green ending.

Also If you destroyed the reapers which means you killed of all synthetics then what about the organic reaper muntants. How where they destroyed?

there are other questions I have but if you can please help me and answer these I will feel much better

Oh, wow. so, so wrong.

You destroy Reaper code on particular server. Legion goes on and reuploads "Reaper" intelligence ehnchancing upgrade to all the Geth. EDI is not destroyed, though she is Lunar AI upgraded with Reaper tech by Cerberus.

In Synthesis EDI most certainly is changed, notice the colour of her visor. No, they did not entire new skin model for her for a few seconds appearance. Reapers are changed as well.

The Catalyst knows what is is because it was just installed into its system a few minutes ago. Crucible is what enabled the 3 final outcomes, much like plugging Printer into USB port enables your option to Print.

The Reaper constructs do not have the will of their own. Rachni Queen refers to them as silent. With controlling AI shut down / destroyed they will follow. They are too heavily synthetics to continue exisiting with what left from their organic parts.
