Changing the ending would indeed be an affront, keep your artistic integrity Bioware, don't let this vocal minority drag you down.

If they want to be remembered as awful amateur artists, that's an option.  That is a legacy they won't soon live down.

Then we stop buying their games and EA lays off a bunch of their people so they can live like real artists.

What they need to understand is that if they do release an DLC for different endings. it is COMPLETELY optional. Nobody forces them to download, if they like plotholes then they can have them.

But the majority of ME fans are trying to HELP the series redeem itself. Since now, every popular topic i see usually regards the crappy writing for the ending.

Summary: Hold the Line!

Yes, and there are also people that like Jar Jar Binks... does that mean his inclusion was a good idea? No.

Well it was an affront to many that they released the game with the current endings.
So what, is this issue of the endings just going to be completely stonewalled now?

I knew this would happen. BioWare wanted to wait for the white knights and the arthouse crowd to surface so they can point to them and say "See? Nothing wrong with the endings, you're all just a bunch of philestines."

I feel sort of stupid now for thinking Chris' post on the endings and Jessica's post for suggestions would legitmately be taken seriously. Even stupider, because I actually took one of my lunch breaks last week and really tried to write a respectful, well structured complaint that addressed my issues. Is this just going to be like DA2 where people raged for months and all they got from it was like a 700 page discussion on BSN?

It's hard to get lots of people when you aren't paying them off in the useless games press and the art house crowd who wouldn't stoop to touching a controller because it is beneath them.

Honestly, this is an insult to all of us. This is Bioware's Twitter feed twisting reality, so they don't have to admit or even apologize to anyone that the ending was a mistake. Polls made ANYWHERE always end up with the result of 85%+ people disliking the ending. How dare they act like this was a polarized issue? This is unbelievable.

So close on refunding my copy right now...

Just tweeted my response to that. Unacceptable BioWare, thank you downplaying A large portion of your fanbase. If you don't want us here, we'll go. But at least give us a straight answer instead of hiding behind this bull****.

Until then ladies and gents, HOLD THE LINE.

So tell me, just exactly how does acting rude to Bioware employees encourage them to provide us with additional content to briing about a better ending?

Yes, you're supposed to put pressure on them but do so firmly yet civil.
If you're going to lash out at them then it's counter productive and pushing them more towards not doing anything just to put you into place.

Be patient.

@totalrecall

You can check the validity for yourself, the timestamp is visible. Just check the tweets.

It seems strange to me, too, because this tweet just puts fuel into the fire. I guess whoever is writing the twitter messages is loosing his temper.

Way to go - post tweet like that when you have 50,000 pissed clients (and that's only part that liked FB site, not everyone uses FB nor everyone tracks whole thing).
Way to go...

Be aware that 'plenty' of feedback can be two people spamming messages non-stop for two hours. Don't take anything from Twitter or Facebook at face, or underlying, value. And not only that, they've said before they are getting feedback from people who dislike the ending, yet have made no conclusive(or at least, conclusive and resilient) remarks regarding their stance. Same here, getting feedback, mentioning it and making a decision one way or the other are two different things.

Hold the line.

There is no ending in the game. It "ends" with a freaking cliffhanger and a million of unanswered questions. I don't think anybody but the most casual gamers could appreciate the end. I can't imagine that anybody familiar with the overall story and setting would approve of these "endings".

Well, BioWare can stick my 91 dollars where the sun doesn't shine. That's it, I'm returning the bloody game. Those... those... they... can't believe this is the same company that made KoTOR.

It's not the same company. They've been assimilated by EA. And EA has ruined them. Like it did Origin Systems. And Westwood. And Bullfrog. And Interplay (was that EA?), etc.

So many people liked the ending, and BioWare is so nonchelant, that the Sunday night Facebook post was removed in nearly 30 minutes, and their community folks had to get out of bed to fight fires.

Just remember that. This is PR nonsense. That's it.

Unlikely. Bioware, you're smarter than that.

Insisting that change to ending would be negative is backlash against those trying to change it. Not for meat of story, but rather to be punitive to those that don't like it.

No one sentimental about this current ending. Bet life on it.

The people I've talked to that like the ending have never played the other Mass Effect games. IMO their opinion holds no weight.

Wow the twitter guys are getting touchie from the look of it..

If the people who didn't like the ending were in the minority why all the hype about it? I mean news articles are coming out about how fans are outraging over the ending not so many praising it though.. They are just asking for people to lash out with that one.

I loved the ending. Don't think your opinions is a consensus. Merely a vocal minority on internet forums.

Nope. Although I don't personally know anyone else who's actively campaigning for or against the ending, every single person I know who has played through ME3 has disliked the ending. The people actively asking for a new ending may be a minority, but they represent a majority who think the ending was crap.
