So tell me, just exactly how does acting rude to Bioware employees encourage them to provide us with additional content to briing about a better ending?

Yes, you're supposed to put pressure on them but do so firmly yet civil.
If you're going to lash out at them then it's counter productive and pushing them more towards not doing anything just to put you into place.

Be patient.

Diplomacy is a two way street. If they are going to be rude and dismissive of us then we aren't going to get anywhere.

i don't really have a problem with the ending but something didn't fit they just go off random without saying why like how did the normandy end up with everyone on board without you so on and so on

Again, why can't they just ADD other endings? They can keep the current endings for those who like it, and can add more endings to satisfy those of us who are complaining. Thats the best of both worlds right there.

Thought this deserves an extra thread because the Bioware Twitter-Account obviously tries to downsize the "Take back ME" movement.

That he/she/whoever is writing is getting this impression is surprising if you take a look at their twitter feed.

So, hold the line!

Edit: Ok, if someone can tell me how to properly implement Twitter-Messages I would be grateful.

The whole tweet (with answers and further comments):

I'm starting to actually get angry, to be honest.

The reason why is because they are trying to turn this (and some posters too) into a people who liked the endings vs. people who didn't. They're using those who enjoyed the endings as a means of grinding us down but the ridiculous part is that there is no reason we need to REPLACE the endings we can simply ADD new endings in.

Those of us on different sides of the fence on this topic should NOT be working against each other. There is no reason why our opinions conflict.

It's probably the same guy that posted on Facebook the other day and stirred the forums up in the middle of Sunday night.

This is just.. lol.
The thing is that most of the "I love the ending" statements I've seen are imbedded in posts/tweets that seem to assume that there will be post-end dlc. This kind of indicates that if there is no future post-end dlc, some of the people who say they love the end might not love it anymore. I get really frustrated when I see posts saying something like "loved the ending can't wait for dlc to see what happens next!".
Isn't this pretty much the whole point? If the end stays as it is with no post-end dlc it's a very crappy ending :/ We want some post-end stuff to explain what's going on and to get closure.

Remember guys, a real ending might be "too video-gamey" wouldn't want a gross affront like that right?

Is this real life?

People dismissing the people who hate the end as a vocal minority are nuts. You've got a good 50k people represented. Statistically significant imo out of circa 1m sales

Well, isn't that wonderful. I sincerely hope those people will be buying all your DLC, tie-in books, hoodies with characters on them et all. Doubt the fanbase that was doing it until now will continue to do so.

I'm going to let them in on a little secret.

The "art" argument does NOT protect you from criticism - this is not Deviant Art where you can block anyone you disagree with 'cause no one paid to view your work. It does not protect you from having the huge, sloppy plot holes in the writing pointed out. Nor from calling out the promises that were made (there's not going to be a pick A, B or C ending!) and not fulfilled.

We are consumers, and we can request redress when we are not satisfied with a product we paid money for. If Bioware doesn't want to make a change, fine - they can tell us that right now, so I can move on to another game developer.

This is why I think people are often hostile to people who liked the ending (besides the "ur 2 dum 2 get it" ones). Bioware is going to look at the few who liked it and feel justified in keeping the endings. I can't really blame them either, when you have that much face to lose by admitting you were wrong, listening to anyone who supports you is that much easier.

Yea.

Amazon and origin are apparently accepting refunds. (havent checked, but heard)

Besides, they dont need to change it if they explain it. Very, very well.

I'd also argue it can be counted as part of a sample demographic.

Only a sample of their gamers are actually making themselves heard on the internet, and of that sample the large majority are against the endings.

You could argue that's because we have additional motivation but you could also argue this is a demographical sample.

This response is really sad.  ME3 as a whole is a lot more sad just because I know how it's going to end now. :crying:

Changing the ending would indeed be an affront, keep your artistic integrity Bioware, don't let this vocal minority drag you down.

Artistic integrity huh?

This wasn't BioWare's story to tell us, this was OUR story to experience alongside BioWare, to share this experience together. If I want to be told a story, I'll read a book or play Gears of War.

There is no useful information in a twitter feed. Only 140 chars means that one cannot say anything meaningful. And Bioware chooses if, and how, to respond to tweets. Positive tweets are always responded to in a way to make it clear it was positive ("Cool! We're so glad you enjoyed our game"). Negative tweets are either ignored or responded to in a neutral manner ("thank you for your feedback") that does not indicate the nature of the original tweet.

Though Shakespeare was born before Twitter, he foreshadowed its creation with his famous quote: "It is a tale. Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing."
