True, at the moment if you want to max it the minimum you'll pay is $69.90.

Though for this you have to create multiple accounts and buy the Invasion bundle 10 times.

On the comments it clarifies that buying the Invasion Bundle and the Artbook  gets you two codes.

Though really if you don't care about the books and you really want to max out the collector rifle what you want to do is make multiple accounts with different e-mail addresses and buy 10 of the Invasion Bundle.

Plenty are doing that on eBay at the moment. For some crazy reason they tend to be selling around the $80 range.

Though you might feel a bit dirty after doing it

Yup, this is all to promote their digital service. It isn't too bad of a deal in my own opinion.

This is really perfect... I certainly appreciate your posting this, Thargorichiban!

I entirely missed the pre-order for the Art Book, so had no expectations of nabbing the Collector's Rifle for my ME3 aresenal.   Besides, I hadn't read "Invasion" yet so for a few wks of loose change I get the comics AND the multi-player Collector's Rifle?!

As much as I'd like the Art Book too, I'd truly want the actual HC though.   So, even in only a lvl-1 trim, I don't care... the Collector's Rifle is MINE NOW (well, by the 23rd)!

For only $6.99, it's a NO-BRAINER!

Thanks for the heads up! It's just over £4 and I've yet to read the comic, so I went for it. The Collector AR is a nice bonus. I hope me being in the UK isn't a problem when it comes to the code.

At less than £4.50 for four comics and a recruitment pack, it's a steal - especially when you consider that the cost of a single comicbook in the UK might be something like £2.99. Not so much the art book - got the HC already for only £5 more, and unlike the comics which are great to read on my PC/iPhone, there's not much point in me owning it twice. Your mileage may vary, naturally!

Thanks for the heads-up, Thargorichiban - looking forward to resurrecting the Collector Rifle, since it was pretty versatile before it got outclassed by all the other guns' upgraded versions.

Hmm... The rules state this:

Anyone who has The Art of the Mass Effect Universe or Mass Effect: Invasion issues #1–#4 in their Dark Horse Digital account by March 21, 2012, will be eligible to receive the code.

So I guess you can still get it for today. I'm not sure what timezone it goes by.

I don't know why they have to make this crap so confusing.  I mean how is the average person supposed to know that if you pre-order the Art Of Mass Effect book at Barnes & Noble you'll get special DLC???  Judging from the prices on ebay & this thread not too many people knew about the Collector Rifle. I never go to Barnes & Noble, why would I even think there would be DLC at a friggin book store?  What's next? Am I suposed to start hitting up gas stations & women's shoe stores for Xbox 360 DLC??? I would expect special DLC to be at Gamestop or Best Buy but not Barnes & fricken Noble or the Darkhorse website.
