yeah I just did a match with the smg and it has so much recoil its not worth using. It does a lot of damage but anything past short range it is pointless. Such a shame

Silver Reapers weren't too bad imo... I'm expecting the next challenge to be gold (insert enemy here) in which case I will cry. I've completed a couple golds but it was a pain. I'm forced to just do pug groups currently and going into games where there is never any social interaction between squad mates can be a real pain.

Hurricane is so horrible. I also tried it with my Krogan as I was gonna use it for my mid to long range weapon. Its so bad with recoil. Never seen something with so much, I can't even do burst firing with it because the recoil is still horrible.

I used the customer support chat and the rep had absolutely no concept of what I was talking about or how to remedy it. He told me to post in the forum because developers read the forum. Overall the worst customer service experience I have ever endured.

I then had EA call me and the rep was extremely helpful. He said, as hard as this is to believe, BW ran out of commendation packs. He sees that I am entitled to the commendation pack but they ran out of codes and will be rolling out another batch. What the hell?

@outoftowndan: this is possible, I do programming myself. What it is. is that the packs are a string of random numbers. Say for example its a string of 7 numbers, as you may no there is only so many different ways you can randomnize 7 numbers. As such once all those ways have been used up well, that's the situation they are in currently. They have used up the maximum amount of random number so they are working to make another set. Instead of 7 numbers randomly ordered they could now use 8. But with programming it would still take time its not so simple as having 8 random numbers. The game itself must accept the sequence. Programming takes A LOT of time and hard work. Believe me I was taking my college class for C++ making a basic slot machine program from scratch and its like ridiculous. I don't know what programming language they use but most video games take the more complex ones. C++ and Java are simple languages to learn programming wise but still are hard. The more complex ones are ridiculous :'(

To people having trouble receiving it:

I contacted EA support (three times) and finally got the darn issue resolved.

First Time I got a guy who didn't understand me at first, asked me to rephrase it, so I was writing a more descriptive version and he apparently thought I wasn't responding cause I took too long and disconnected me (facepalm)

Second guy (last night): Made sure to break up my problem description into parts so he would understand I was there. Described the issue, was told to be patient and wait awhile longer (even though it was already almost 3 hours past the claimed end of the distribution time)

Third guy (just now): Reopened the second ticket with live chat, gave him a brief rundown, told him how I had been told to wait when it was several hours past due, and it was now more than half a day past due, he took care of the problem.

Protip: BE POLITE. If you're a jerk they're not gonna be as helpful.

funny my victory pack consisted of 3 items one was the Katana upgrade also o.o

Other was the M-5 Phalanx (unlocked once again >_>, I lost all my stuff before still haven't had the 100 dollars refunded). The 3rd item was the Arc Pistol upgrade level 2.

Talked with EA help chat, they manually added it for me! Excellent, I got the N7 Eagle

I have got it - the N7 Valiant Sniper Rifle. 
It is a nice weapon, I have won some matches with it.
I hope there will be more contests like this in the near future.

Victory packs do not contain N7 Weapons. Commendation Packs do.

Who you quoting me or him cus I didn't say anything about a N7 in my victory pack I was merely stating I also got a Katana upgrade in my Victory Pack. My N7 Hurricane came in my commendation pack.

I am curious as to how they can "see" I am entitled to the commendation pack but cannot apply it because they are "out" yet other people are getting their packs applied via the HORRIBLE CS chat. =/

I got an upgrade to my Mattock assault rifle and the Hurricane (unusable). All the anticipation and oh what a let down!!

SMGs are always close combat weapons.

Other shooters I dont tend to use SMG's at close range unless very necessary as I like to stay out of my enemies reach :/ ironically I play a Krogan soldier and when playing as him get in close with a shotgun if my mid to long range weapon runs out of ammo or can't finish a job.

Will there be an opportunity to get the other N7 weapons in the future? Not quite satisfied with my "shotgun"
