To be honest I like them all. Sure, I hated some for being the villain but the experience wouldn't be the same without them.

Honorable mentions to Javik, Garrus, ME2 EDI and Tali, but Shepard is the best. Everything I choose him to do felt real and right. No matter which side you take.

Kaidan - I admit I'm quite a Kaidan-****. He's just way too adorable. I had not a single romance in ME 1 and 2 because I couldn't see Shepard together with anyone else but Kaidan - and unfortunately I had to wait for such a long time until I could try to romance him because I am playing male Shep.
Tali - She's such a cutie.
Garrus - Wouldn't want to go without his witty comments once in a while. And there's also something about his voice that I love.
Non squadmate award goes to: Joker - sometimes I could just cuddle that guy to death for yet another jerky comment. XD
Can I also pick the Normandy as a character?

liara though I think her storyline got screwed in the writing process later (you know went from idealist scientist to heartless killer? I don't think so) I would have preferred to see her evolve in a different way

then mordin. hands down one of the best characters in mass effect. the quirks, the intelligence, the dynamic personality

and tali, I liked her character/story and she was with shep for all 3 games so she gets points for loyalty
