The reapers dragging the citadel to Earth to protect it because that's where their forces were strongest and then letting the Crucible which was slow as molasses still dock with it.

The convenient beam right there on Earth to get onto the Citadel.

I guess what I'm saying is, why did the reapers throw the game, was Vegas involved.

The fact that the squad was teleported back to the Normandy without any explanation and the Normandy being in a relay jump.

That Shepard was caught in a huge explosion that destroyed the Citadel. Only to be found later in a pile of rubble? breathing?

Joker fleeing, by far.

I can live with the Catalyst actually, my brain kind of works with it. Maybe the Citadel didn't always look like it did during the last cycle or the one of the Protheans; maybe the basic structure of the Crucible was based on something that used to be linked to the Citadel, maybe even being part of it in the distant past. It partially looked like a giant Element Zero core. After 'they' had settled on their 'solution', maybe they just disassembled the Crucible-part, disabling the Catalyst, using the ressources themselves. I don't know, for me it feels kind of like there COULD be an answer, far in the past and maybe even incomprehensible for my slightly evolved monkey brain.

It doesn't feel like cheating to me somehow. Joker and the teleporting crew running for their lifes, leaving their Commander - who helped every single one of them - to die back on the Citadel does. Oh boy it does.

The Catalyst invalidates the entire series.

The Mass Relay explosions NOT causing the rest of the galaxy to disappear. I played Arrival, it's literally the last DLC to come out before ME3... How could they just decide nope, changed our minds... destroying a relay does nothing!

Actually it's a tie... I wanted to kill the StarChild. Nothing he said made sense and yet my Shep rebelled against my control and bought it, hook line and sinker

The breath scene for me. I love it for giving me hope that the endings are not what they appear but I hate it for making no damn sense.

OR, was it her FINAL breath?   : /

why didn't the whole reaper fleet attack the citadel first to shut down the relay network thus preventing a counter attack then pick off every system one by one

well...shiny boy ghost kid coming out of nowhere was pretty big to me...

and having shep beleive the enemy..was another big one...

but Id have to say the biggest...is the relays going supernova ala' arrival style..thereby making 60 hours of game time...null and void...

I hate the whole "the relay explosions are different at the end than what you see in Arrival" argument.

Fact of the matter is the ending is too damn sloppy to know for sure, and we can only use what else we know (ie- Arrival) to speculate.

1. Harbinger doesn't say a word. It hits you with a beam that should kill you, but doesn't bother to finish you off.

2. Three Husk brothers appear out of nowhere. My gun has infinite ammo and survived, but my medigel did not.

3. Marauder Shields. My infinite gun destroys him in a few shots.

4. Harbinger doesn't have any other things to kill you with. Just those guys.

5. You end up on the Citadel. How did my ship get to Earth? Or the fleet? I thought the Citadel allowed the Reapers to shut off the Mass Relays. So, when TIM told them what was happening, why didn't they?

6. Why does the kid need to be the thing from your dreams? Why doesn't the Citadel AI god child look like Avina? That might have been fun; all this time, you thought Avina was a dumb hologram. But it turned out it wasn't so dumb.

7. So, the Reapers fuse themselves into a techno-organic hybrid creature, that builds Mass Relays to help intelligent life evolve on predictable paths, so that they can kill them, so that purely technological life like the god child, won't wipe out organic life. That's stupid.

8. Shepard never argues with the stupidity of the god child. Even though je's always fought and argued, here, at the end, he in characteristically shrugs his shoulders to accept what he's told.

9. Why is he being allowed to make a choice? Why didn't the reapers just kill him when they got to the citadel that they were somehow able to drag to Earth?

10. Why aren't the Reapers trying to blow up the Crucible or the Citadel? The construction wasn't done in secret. Why don't the Reapers know what it is?

11. When the beam goes across the galaxy to blow up the Mass Relays, why isn't everything destroyed on the systems where the relays explode?

12. Why did Joler and The Normandy leave Earth?

13. Intergalactic travel is impossible without the relays. Is everyone who came to Earth's defense stranded now?

14. Why are the squad members I brought with me with Joker? Did they run away? How did they get to The Normandy?

15. Why does that planet with the old man and the kid look like the desktop wallpaper of that guy who sits down the hall? Did they really just grab a desktop wallpaper for the last scene of the game?

16. Why did Shepard or whatever take a breath on the Earth?

17. Why is the game ending with an ugly looking graphic, asking me to buy more content?

Most of this has probably already been covered by now.

Sci fi like's to throw in the cliche of a child will either save the universe/destroy the universe. I have always hated this particular plot element whenever it is used. Won't somebody "please stop" thinking of the children.

I want to know why the star around Haestrom was dying so young!!!! (plus others that you mentioned)

This x1000. It's more a loose thread than a hole but the fact they just dropped that whole storyline with no follow-up whatsoever really bugs me. I've read theories that Haestrom was going to figure into what was originally going to be the ending but that whole storyline was dropped after leaks. I have not seen that theory confirmed.

I asked that same question last week. Yet to see an answer. Taking the Citadel has always been the first step in the Reapers' attacks, and for good reason. But this time, for some reason, they came to Earth first. Makes no sense.

That the reapers were (in the space of a minute) changed from God-like Machines, "Each one a nation unto itself", carrying out acts with motivations that no mere mortal organic could ever possibly hope to understand, intelligent enough to break the will of even the strongest characters. The Very face of unknown evil, The Devil in machine form.

INTO

Galaxy Roomba's that are carrying out the ridiculously simplistic program of "Every 50,000 year kill everything wearing clothes". Not really sentient, Not really evil, no difficult to grasp motivation, barely even intelligent, they're pest control robots with scary voices.

What a f*cking joke.

Would that be doughnut logic?

BioWare/EA should work out an ME3 product placement deal with Krispy Kreme.
