Technically: the ps3 version pales in comparison

me3 on 360 at a constant 30 fps
me3 on ps3 barely maintains 25 fps in scenes, whether it's speech or action sequences. stuttering, clipping, cut-outs, drop in frames, etc
we all have to face it; the ps3 is apparently strange to work on and doesn't play well with multiplatforms.
realistically, can anything be done by devs to patch ps3 versions to bring them up to par? for any game?
i remember me2 ran just fine on my ps3 until the latest patch caused speech cut-outs, while people prior were getting corrupted saves and freezing. luck of the draw i guess
my best advice for us ps3 users: play the game (and any other game really) signed off the psn (unless playing online duh), and shut off any auto save feature if possible. luckily me3 had a quick save button in it a-la-pc

Nope. on the suggestions.
If you decide to release something on a given platform you should be damn sure it will work. Why am I paying the same amount of money for worse experience?

There are plenty of multiplatform games that run prefectly fine (almost all the biggest games of 2011 except for skyrim and COD MW3).
I hate it when people act as if this wasn't a big deal because "all the multiplatform games run really bad on the ps3", which isn't true at all.... that was the reality at the beginning of this gen (4-5 years ago) but not anymore.
In this last 2 years the games that clearly run bad con Ps3 have only been a few but the majority runs fine on both consoles.
Multiplaform differences in most recent games are still there, but it's stuff you don't notice unless playing both versions side by side. As I have said in another thread, the problem isn't only that the game runs worse than on xbox, the problem is that specially in the cutscenes it runs so bad that it get in the way of the enjoyment we get from the game.
If this was about 2-3 frames per second there wouldn't be nearly as much people complaining

agree 100% its seriously just lazy devs making lazy ports im afraidFbh wrote...

It's not that the PS3 is less powerful than the 360, it's that it has less RAM. Though it has a much better processor. Both have the same power in terms of GPU.
I think that apart from the framerate being a bit choppy (though I'm not getting it much) BioWare did a pretty good job.

Less RAM, it's what you deal with. But I think the game would benefit from a HDD Install.

Pretty good job? Really? Watching cutscenes in 15-20 frames per second is now considered a pretty good job, for a system that has produced far more impressive graphics this generation without a single framerate issue?
No, simply no, I dissagree.
Again stop blaming the system people. If Bioware thinks they cant deliver on their promises (you do remember them saying "you wont notice a difference" right?) then it is their fault alone. If Bioware thinks that the PS3 is not good enough for their game, then DONT release the game at all. Simple.
If I am going to pay the same amount of money to experience a lower quality product then I am very sorry, but there is no one else to blame but the ones who created the game.
Its not like there are no other Unreal 3 games out there that run beautifully on PS3....Batman Arkham City is a semi-open world and runs without a single hitch... and suddenly ME3 is called a pretty good job considering the "low RAM"? Besides PS3 doesnt have less RAM it has the same RAM it is just that it not unified. Those arguments about PS3's RAM have died a long time ago. Bioware has released so many games on PS3 and ME3 just SCREAMS bad port job all over the place.
You calling it a pretty good job aint gonna change the situation. We will always get shafted because we always call these things pretty good jobs, when in fact it is a horrible job when we are talking about a GOTY contender. Dont talk as if PS3 is some lame system that cant produce good graphics....you are talking about the same system that has produced the best console graphics this gen.

Not really. PS3 has the same amount of RAM X360 has, but it's split in two halves - operating memory and graphics one.Luan wrote...

I must be the minority in this because I've played through the game twice and both times it has only slowed down in intense moments like on Thessia. Other than that it has worked well.
You're lucky.
I got as far as rescuing the female krogan, and as soon as the cutscenes finished the game stuttered to an effective halt.
Not a single enemy had made an apperance, and yet it was impossible to even walk over to the elevator.
I paid good money for this game, and I would appreciate the chance to play it.

They said the ps3 version was going to have the same framerate as the 360. Well, it's not! So now what? Are you going to blatantly lie to us, take our money then hide when we voice of concerns? Come on, that's not right.

Framerate isn't skyrim bad but it's obviously choppy compared to the 360 version. I've said this a thousand times already. I'm beginning to lose my patience. Cross platform games with better graphics run a lot smoother than me3 on the ps3. Choppy framerate is unacceptable in this era of gaming.

i was wondering how long this argument would take to crop up the ps3 doesnt have less ram its equal and the processor destroys the xbox's processor its just a pain in the arse to write code for only we all forget that !
Ok, it's a pain to code, so what? It's their jobs as developers to do it right. Like I've said before...
Arkham City did it the right way
Resident evil 5 did it the right way
Dead Space 2 did it the right way
Final Fantasy 13 did it the right way
Mortal Kombat 9 did it the right way
And the list goes on and on.
All of these games completely outclasses me3 in terms of graphics so there's no excuse. ME2 was suppose to have the me3 engine so they had plenty of time to fix these issues. And it's not just the framerate, this game is fairly buggy as well....
The citadel holding dock ps3 freezeing bug
Hanar diplomat side quest doesn't work
Texture cut outs
Loud screeching noise on Tuchanka
Squad-mate glitch outs
This is completely unacceptable. It's even worse when they haven't specifically addressed the problem. I tried to be calm and patient but I can't anymore. I feel like I got cheated out of $60 bucks(if I could've got my hands on the CE then it would've been $80). I feel like bioware played me for a fool. They should've dropped the price if they knew this was going to be the subpar version. Don't get me wrong, ME3 is a great game but this port is complete garbage. I'm not going to sit here and accept this lazy port when so many other developers are doing it the right way.

Loading Issues:
Citadel - Presidum Commons tends to stall because of loading.
If go up the stairs at certain points and then down the stairs often yields a 5 second pause to load the area.
Also using the elevator to go to the Purgatory from the Refugee Camp results in PS3 blackscreen crash (hard reset). Happened a few times - not nice when you forget to save and have to redo everything.
When you meet Ashley/Kaiden on the elevator (as you are leaving the Citadel) - she/he clips into the scene when the camera focuses on her/him.
Graphics issue:
The room where Javik stays messes up FemShep's hair
Sound issues.
On my first playthrough, there was no sound effect coming from the flamethrower and the sound of the webbing being burnt away made no sound either (second playthrough it was fine).
Often Samantha doesn't speak when she is supposed to say something (what she says appears in text if you have subtitles enabled), This happens with Javik too.
Sometimes Shepards dialog is cut off mid sentence so does the subtitles for that sentence - the next sentence is shown in subtitles but not spoken.
Bugs and other things.
The Journal is bugged. The cursor defaults to completed Citadel: Improved Power Grid (workaround - press Triangle to Sort entries to bring cursor back to the top).
Some of the accomplishments remain blacked out even if you have achieved them.
The 'Striker' accomplishment is not part of the trophy set (apparently it unlocks something on the Xbox360), but does nothing on the PS3.
Request to put the trophies back in the Captain's Cabin - like you had in ME2.

agreed I have ME & ME2 files ready to go on my 360 but until they release a digital version (no swapping) they will sit and wait.
