And they just keep poking and prodding and stabbing the bear, trying to get us to rage and ridicule us.

What Minority?

"Mass Effect 3" is the highest-rated game of the year and one of the highest-rated games ever, Pachter pointed out. "That means that objective reviews think it is just fine, making repercussions highly unlikely."

The players complaining are a vocal minority, he said -- a very small one. "There will be no impact on Electronic Arts as a company unless they cave to the vocal minority and create an alternate ending," suggested Pachter. "Then, consumers will learn that they are wimps, and will complain about 'Madden NFL' because their quarterback doesn't throw the ball far enough."

Edit: Michael Pachter is analyst at Wedbush Securities and has his own show on gametrailers.com where he highlights the business side of gaming.

I'm getting all my money back through Origin right this very moment.

STRIKE ONE: DA2
STRIKE TWO: SWTOR
STRIKE THREE: ME3 ENDINGS
EXTRA WISHFULL THINKING STRIKE: This pile of **** they just came out with right here.

Bioware just ran out of chances. Never buying from them ever again.

I think they just want us to lash out and prove we're mindless people, or something.
Or, they just want a lot of hits on a controversial topic.

Even if the players actually vocally complaining on the internet are a minority, those dissatisfied with the ending are easily a majority. Most of the people who throw the argument that we are entitled and selfish, and that we have no right to expect Bioware to change it's 'art' also agree the ending is not good, but it's not ours. Which is true, and we know that, but Mass Effect deserves a better conclusion, and we are voicing that concern. The fact that we're just being written off as entitled and selfish by mainstream gaming media is insulting to our intelligence, implying we are all 12 years old and can only accept happy endings.

No pageviews for them.

Guess who pays his salary? EA and other publishers.

Yeah, non-biased, right.

Who is this guy? The fact that he is making an article on it means it's not a very small minority. Way to make yourself look stupid.

A long running joke to pretty much all of the gaming community.  How this guy manages to keep his job is laughable.

All he does is make insane and inflamitory claims and 90% never turn out to be true.

Lol, Pachter is just angry that the Wii-HD was never a thing.

Edit: Remember guys, Pachter is a 'business guy' he won't get what everyone is doing here. I still think he's funny as hell and I love watching his videos on gametrailers (pach-attack) but he maybe should have stayed out of this one.

Why do everybody assume that fans wants the ending changed? Sure some people want that, but (I'd like to think) most fans are more realistic, and simply wants alternative endings, supplementing the endings we allready have.

If not, prepare to be disappointed.

If it is a minority then why has this become so large? Why is it getting so much attention from gaming sites, business sites, literary sites and news sources? I don't think any minority no matter how vocal they may be can get this much attention. It seems to me like this is just one more PR move to try and break us.

They can posture that way as much as they want. The paid reviewers cannot afford to bite the hand that feeds them, so their reviews are meaningless. The only reviews that matter are those of the paying customers. The polls conducted here and elsewhere show 80% to 90% of the responders indicating that they are dissatisfied with ME3. That is a problem for Bioware/EA. They can acknowledge the problem and fix it, or they can suffer the lose of their future income.

It wasn't BW, dude - they didn't comment.

I have to admit, I do detest little tough guys like this who hide behind their computer screen. Gah, just want to...get my hands around the damn neck. GRRR!!!

I actually find this article funny.

I mean, I do...it's making me giggle, because ultimately why would I care? The guy has no direct involvement and his quotes clearly show him up to be an ****.

I'm having a hard time understanding how people can appreciate
the ending. I can understand people who doesn't really care, but to LIKE it?
I'm finding that difficult to comprehend.

I personally really despise the endings.
Especially the part where the Normandy crew are stranded on a remote planet.
How is that closure? How can anyone be contempt with such an ending? Posted Image
