Rate fire went down drastically as well as ammo capacity. And even before the nerf, the gun itself is still severely flawed because while not hosting, it's a pretty common victim of the glitch that's causing it's shots to not registered in actual damage on the enemies. Now even if you host your own match, the gun is still trash.

Could not be worse than SMGs, yes I went there.

Anyways, Falcon was insane pre-nerf. Now not so much. Still staggers and does decent splash dmg, only thing is that you simply can't spray and win with it like before. Boo hoo, have to carry another gun. /tissue

In a COOP game, it's hard to fathom why anyone would be happy with someone else's play style getting destroyed.

You realize that the better your teammates are, the better your chances for success?

If you think getting a higher personal score after 9 rounds is more important than successfully completing a full match, well that's just silly.

Yes I've actually got the Falcon up to VI.  I use it primarily either on a Human Soldier or Turian Sentinel.  Human's AR damage boost was good, but the ability to strip any barrier (Overload) and debuff any of the tougher opponents (Warp) on harder difficulties to be simply better with the Sentinel.

You make it sound as if it were overpowered before.  I don't think so, I think overall it was just viable.  In some situations it was awesome - amazing even -  in some it pretty much sucked. 

I used to love it because it was just stupid fun, even during its frustrating moments, but I probably won't use it anymore.

I just can't understand why the Falcon was nerfed instead of other AR's being buffed.

I get tired of my target getting slapped around every time I start to squeeze the trigger, and every time I NEED them to slap someone around they're off running for an ammo crate.  That weaon made otherwise good players Mr. John Rambo ala 'I'm all the team I need.' player.

You all seem to think the 'dud' problem only effects the falcon....

My experience so far is that ALL guns can suffer from this, especially if you are not the host.

lol this gun was so OP. I put the extra ammo mod on it and I could spam grenades forever.

There are a lot of questions all over the forums why they are nerfing guns and making Gold difficulty harder.

The reason that makes the most sense is to keep people playing the game.  The longer someone plays a game the more likely they are to buy into DLCs and other content.  A good chunk of people won't but even a small percentage of people can add up pretty quick especailly once you start offering unique benefits to payers.  This won't happen if they've moved on to another game or found something else to do.

If a person can just play a Quarian Winfilitrator and farm Geth Gold missions repeatedly with no effort then it won't take very long to max out an account's unlocks (or close to it due to the randomness) and move on.  How long will you really keep playing when after a while even in Spectre boxes you mostly get characters with your golds and not weapon upgrades (because most of your weapons are maxed)?  I am close myself (almost all weapons but  N7's are rank V+) and I find in harder and harder to be motivated to keep playing.  The fun factor gives way to the repetition after a while.

Really it makes sense to want to drag the game out.  It's the same principal MMOs use to keep their subscribers going.  Drag out the process to the "end" long as possible to try to get more money.  Bioware is ultimately a business.  There's really nothing wrong with all this, if anything I find it more surprising that people are surprised.

Guns are really not the reason why people can easily farm Gold.

Unless a HUGE biotic nerf is coming, It doesn't make any sense.

charged weapons are a 50/50 gamble in my exp.  I usually don't bother with them now.

March 20th

Falcon Assault Rifle
- Increased refire time on the Falcon to 0.65 seconds
- Decreased rate of fire from 125 to 50
- Decreased max spare ammo from [24-34] to [18-28]

It's there. Dunno what you mean. :-/

It was supposed to be a good gun, it was rare. And they nerfed it on a coop game? Are they trying to kill an already limited multiplayer game?? Wow.

Of course I finally get the gun after praying for it forever after it's nerfed into the ground, I got it 3 damn times in a row in my spectre packs. What a load of garbage...

Got it in my Victory pack. Thought it would be cool, but it's a total dud for me. I like (or atleast like more than most) all of the weapons, but this one was the worst I've tried. Wonder what it was like before the nerf. I'll never know.

Still, the lost-shots is the biggest problem I had with it. The damage and everything is fine.

one of my most favorite weapons..... since the nerf it feels like I'm shooting a muzzle loader (circa civil war for dem none history peps) due to the reduced fire rate... Goodbye my friend... you were good to me... you killed plenty..... guess it's back to biotic explosions in Liara's pants!! =P I mean yeah..... RIP my precious!

I would be ok with this change if they increased the AOE area and damage, and FIXED THE DAMNED GLITCH WHERE YOUR GRENADES DISAPPEAR.

It's so annoying when four shots in a row do nothing at all, especially with the ROF nerf.

Yea, this is especially frustrating.  Shot loss stacked on top of the nerfs?  I can't bring myself to use this once awesome gun anymore, I just can't.
