I love how they left biotic explosions as is, but nerfed the falcon. All they want you to do is roll your face across the keyboard and spam powers, falcon was the one gun aside from widow/BW in an infiltrator's hand that came even close to the god-tier of biotic explosions.

It's so annoying when four shots in a row do nothing at all, especially with the ROF nerf.


I use to love using it with Cryo Ammo. I even overlooked the glitch now and then since it shot fast enough to make up for it But now that they slowed it down, I really cant see using it and I LOVED it...I are sad now :crying::crying:

This weapon is just plain awful now. If the stats were going to be decreased by this much then at least the weight could have been dropped correspondingly.

I added some possibilities for improving this weapon. Feel free to list yours as well!
Currently the Falcon has simply been over-nerfed, but we should at least try to get it back up to a usable state.

I seem to recall the same topics popping up about "RIP Quarian Infiltrator" last week when they nerfed Sabotage. We seemed to have survived alright.

It's just no longer an aoe stagger with incredible damage. Worst case scenario you guys use a different AR that's "better" than the new Falcon.

It was mostly an aoe stagger with mild-moderate damage meant to subdue trash with others and/or powers killed them.  The trade-off was that it did almost nothing (no stagger, very little damage) to everything that is immune to stasis.

I have to sign on the line.
The Falcon was my number 1 most fun weapon, now its a slow piece of garbage that isn't worth being a rare. And if you didn't notice, they double nerfed the rate of fire.

- Increased refire time on the Falcon to 0.65 seconds
- Decreased rate of fire from 125 to 50

Do these not both do the same thing? Looks like a double nerf camouflaged as 2 different nerfs to me.

It seems like they tried to slow down the RoF to reduce lost shots (because they didn't know how to fix it).   I don't get why they decided to reduce the already low ammo count as well.

I had found a RoF that made every shot count (not as fast as I could have shot, but faster than it shoots now) which makes the ultra nerf even more confusing...

Just got my first one in the Victory pack. Seems like an interesting secondary weapon for soldiers, but certainly not a primary. 2 direct hits to a trooper on bronze seems weak for a mini grenade launcher. It performs more like a flash bang.

For the record, dropping the ROF and clip capacity seemed like a good adjustment if coupled with a slight increase in damage, larger AOE, and/or Knockdown instead of stagger. It would fall more in line with my expectations of a mini grenade launcher.

I'm fine with the ROF, but the clip size was a bit too much. Thing already suffered from severely small clip size. Its still a decent utility/support weapon for staggering.  Was stunlocking cerberus all day while my team's snipers took them out.

My favorite thing to do with this weapon was play my human soldier and stand on top of an ammo crate. I would spam AR, this weapon and frag grenades and just rofl at everything.

The Falcon was pretty OP, I made a thread even when I first got it, I didn't need any other weapons once I got it...just spam-stun the enemy from halfway across the map :P

JFC. I just started MP a couple days ago. Spent $20 on spectre packs because the one thing I hate more than losing is winning but being the only guy not significantly contributing. Yeah, I know, what's wrong with me, right? I just hate feeling like a leech. And I like soldier. I don't like spamming biotics. Especially since it requires some degree of teamwork and I prefer VC off because running into one rageaholic douche ruins my night. So anyway, this is the only nice gun I got from the packs. The only one I can use anyway. I got a widow but I'm not a good twitcher. I miss almost as often as I hit on moving targets, even if not trying to get a headshot.

But I was happy. It's an awesome gun, and one awesome gun is better than some people get for 10 SP's. Then I read about the bug it has. So I figured I'd hold off on using it until they fix that. And now, it's dead. Hooray. So much for a viable soldier. I guess I'll just have to learn to like spamming biotics. *sigh*

man that falcon nerf.  it ruined it sooo much.

i mean damn, taking a level 12 soldier thru gold tonight, and being in second place.  i think more rage about this nerf should be posted.

clearly most of you are just so bad you need a gun to carry you.  or its just a major difference between lag on consoles and pc.

the same point it always was.  cc.  but i get it.  training wheels are off, and now everyone is crashing and crying, cuz their crutch has been taken away

i bet most of you crying over this gun told all the quarian infiltrator to suck it up and get over their OP class. just like i said in another thread most poeple dont care unless it effects them personally. also i said " lets wait a week and see what gets nerfed". so i was off by 1 day but close enough.

so my question is what is everyone going to scream is Over Powered this week? guess we will have to wait until next week to see what gets nerfed.

i just wanna thank all the people posting nerf this or nerf that threads. i havent unlocked it yet either. im disappointed i didnt get to try it b4 it was staggered and beat to death by Geth Hunter in a corner with 3 pyro's clapping and laughing the whole time.

Because it doesn't weigh as much as an anvil and that aoe stagger isn't still bugged to holy hell, right?

I still like it on Turian Sentinel. Falcon III = 137% and you get overload CC on top of that, along with the ability to set up warp explosions. Doubt you will be getting the highest score very often though. 

Otherwise it's just way too heavy if you are a power user or way to weak if you need damaging weapons. If you have a Falcon X that may open up a few options, but I really think this weapon is for Turian Sentinel only at this point.

edit: I can also see it being useful on Krogans along with the Widow/Black Widow when you need some quick CC. Oh and maybe Drell Adept once it's a higher level.
