The ending was horrible, and that's from someone who enjoys depressing endings.

I have also been reading sci-fi since I was 9 and writing sci-fi since I was 13, and even at 9 I would have recognised the ending as non-sensical, irrelevant, confusing and insulting.

I still believe that it was all a projection in Sheps' head by Harbinger, and the real ending is incoming, as was always intended by the devs, if very poorly handled in revealing it to us.

<..duck and cover..>
I wonder what percentage of the ME community are speaking out here.
In my experience its usually the more negative people who are the most vocal.
Sure there are things about the ending that didn't go the way I was expecting, but this whole thing has now been blown out of proportion.
Sure there were things that didn't get wrapped up the way i was expecting but life doesn't always go the way you want it to.
Don't forget BioWare are telling us a story here, not providing us with an alternate reality that we have god like control over, that we can dictate how things pan out.
For instance, let's just say i didn't like the end of a film, say E.T.
Would I be in my 'rights' to start an internet rant at Steven Spielberg or Melissa Mathison demanding they remake the films ending?
No. No, I wouldn't.
And the thought would be absurd

Actually yes hundreds of films have had endings changed in test screenings. And ETs ending made perfect sense.

It was an example.
And i mean changing the end after a final realease, not 'test screenings'.

29 female and I think the ending makes sense. I liked the heartfelt goodbyes and foreshadowing, the explanation of the origin of the reapers. I like the starchild though I'm not sure if he represents the makers of the reapers or the reapers themselves. I like that beyond all odds Shepard saves the galaxy by opening the citadel, without that the cycle would have ended. I like that the crucible isn't a conventional weapon, but instead it activated an override in the reapers. Shepard saved the galaxy from the reapers and is a legend. I feel like I got my happy ending.
You mean im not alone in the world?
