This game is broken. Great game, but broken! I should be easily running through my 2nd run of the game if not 3rd. But due to the fact that I keep running into parts of the game that always crash, or have corrupted graphics and will not save without crashing. I get stuck doing parts of the game over and over leading to my lack of interest.

I'm near the end of the game where everything comes to climax and I'm just sick and tried of fighting the bugs and the crashes more then the Dark Spawn. I have the latest patch; all drivers updated...etc. etc. I paid for this game and did my part in making sure I had the recommended specs that’s all I should have to do. I have 30 to 40 plus games on my PC and none have anything close to the problems I've had with this one. I know this is just the social network site, but the OFFICAL Support site is a joke. If this were any other product than PC software people would be filing lawsuits and demanding they get what they pay for.

So really all I want is some type of conformation of what problems they are aware of and a general idea when the "FIXES" should be coming out. If the DLC team can make all this content and give a idea when its coming out than why can't the bug/patch team give us any type of info? I don’t care if they are separate teams there should be no DLC what so ever before all major problems with the game have been fixed period. EA and BioWare can make their money later on DLC once the product itself is fixed.

There is my rant for the day. Dartmist out.

Just out of interest, what are your system specs?

I don’t care if they are separate teams there should be no DLC what so ever before all major problems with the game have been fixed period.

Because having half your employees sitting around twiddling their thumbs because a couple of people don't understand how software development works is such a good idea, right?

Dartmist, what's your video card and OS? See my post about "flickering" and my computer crash.

I agree with this.

It would be entirely reasonable to postpone release of more DLC until the game is patched to remove (most of) the currently known bugs that make it unplayable for some people.

The DLC will need to be tested under the new patches anyway; releasing versions of the DLC too early and running the risk of having to patch the DLC itself to work with the next game patch would be fairly silly.

The DLC team don't have to twiddle their thumbs waiting for the patch team; they can be working on the next DLC down the line.

If this means the revenue from DLC gets delayed while the patch gets done, well, *shrugs* that's how the cookie crumbles.

I have Windows XP Professional and 8800GTS, and my graphics don't really flicker. What they do is sometimes when I zone into a area, the map as well as the mini map will be blank and the floor or the ground depending where I'm at will be either all white or all black, and my characters as well as NPC's will have red and green colors on there armor, and no my graphics card is not going out or over heating. No other game does this including games that take more graphics power then this one.

Sorry the last thing on my mind when ranting is grammar. Maybe I'll go to a grammar forum after this and rant there. lol

You sure? Have you run a stability benchmark recently?

Well I'm pretty postive Jab0r but just for the sake of it I'll run a benchmark right now.

Sorry but the chances of DA being responsible for corrupted graphics are near zero. Either your card is overheating/dying or you have bum drivers.

That might be the case. It might not be DA. It could be Nvidia needing to do a fix on their end. Either way this graphic corruption happens at the same zoning areas of the game, and is not determined by how hot my card is or how long I've played. So I would not be surprised at all if they mention a fix of some sort relating to this in their (BioWare's) next patch. If that ever comes......

If there is any truth to the rumor mill about NVidea getting out of the gaming card business, now might be a good time to swap cards.

Yeah but games fix strange card behaviour all the time. It's still NV/ATIs fault :P

Frustrates me how everyone assumes a problem is with a game. As if you don't have numerous other components in your system that could be wonky :/

Well the graphics corruption is a minor issue and hardly happens. If that was the only issue I would not even be on here, I'd be playing the game.

Well if Nvidia is getting out of the graphics card business that is sad, but either way I'll use whatever graphics card is most compatible with the next PC hardware I choose to build with.

Oh and another thing that came to mind, a game when bought says it will work with a recommended spec setup. So if it says it is gonna work with XXXX card and blah processor and up etc. Then the game should work with that hardware in its current state when the game is released and if it does not...then it is false advertising. Making only the company who made or sold the game responsible for any bugs or problems it has with video cards listed.

Of course you would have to throw a disclaimer in there, that people would have to have all the right drivers, no viruses, etc.

But I think I’m just beating a dead horse now….lol

This.

But yes, I do find it frustrating that they're focusing on developing and releasing DLC before they've worked out even basic kinks out of the main game, milking us.

Did a quick edit and broke original topic to paragraphs. Didn't want to lose any more eyes to excessive bleeding why reading the post.
