So i'm curious as to who else out there besides me romanced Ashley in the first game and stayed true to her the entire trilogy? Who else believed in her during the worst moments (Horizon) and put up with the hordes of Ashley Haters for 5 years straight? I've seen quite a few people regret cheating on her now for obvious reasons, but i'm just hoping to hear from the few and proud to say; "Hey, there's only one woman in the galaxy good enough to handle my Shep."

How satisfied were you with how the Ashley romance turned out? Anything you think could've been better? What was your favorite moment?

I romanced Ash from the get go - not from the original release, but the minute I got my hands on the first game I said 'Yep. She's the perfect partner for Shepard.'

I didn't romance Ashley, but I feel obliged to tell you that you spelled her name wrong in your thread title.

I would have liked some of the dialogue that was recorded and present on the disk to be unlocked. I understand that there's a whole lot more banter and even a full extra conversation in there that's been cut out for no reason. I'd like a patch to be released that makes that dialogue available.

Aside from that, I enjoyed it immensely. More than made up for so many people bashing Ashley for five years. Good tension, good dialogue, and deeply touching conclusion to the romance arc. Best romance in the game in my humble opinion.

It was intentional. I would've wrote Ashlimancers but i thought a Y was more appropriate. If it's that glaring then i'll add the E.

Pretty much original Ashleymancer.

I had a Shepard that wanted Tali first (in 2008 - until I found out she wasn't available). He then romanced Liara, but never made it till the end.

The next Shepard I started tried it with Ashley. First I was a bit distracted by Ashley's "racism" - but once I learned more about Ash, I found out she was not a racist but very distrustful towards anyone, regardless if human or alien, resulting in harsh statements.

Over the time I fell in love with her (as much as it's possible to love a fictional character), stayed true, never cheated on her and continued the love in ME3.

And yes, it's still my first full playthrough dating back to 2008 ... (PC). The love to Ashley lasts longer than the love to my RL fiancee, so to speak ^^

Stuck with Ashley throughout the trilogy on pretty much every DudeShep playthrough. Would like to romance Jack in ME2 but I can't stand 'cheating' on Ash. Maybe one day when I build up the willpower to go through ME1 and not romance her.

I would also like to see any Ash dialogue/scenes that were cut, there doesn't seem that much content in game with her. Disappointing.

Ever since I get my copy of ME1(2008 PC ) I got stuck with Ashley. She's with my Sheploo from the very begining. Ashley is my fav character from the entire ME Universe. Maybe I'm just a fangirl but I'm proud of that. I never thought I could love that much a fictional character.

Liked her from the start of ME1 the moment I met her on Eden Prime, so I asked my friend if she can be romanced, and the moment he said yes, I was ecstatic and said that's who I'm going to romance. And I remained true to that word. Throughout ME2, I remained faithful even though the MaleShep romances were kind of forced on you just by talking to a female squad member. And ME3 sealed the deal with Ash. I was very pleased with how it played out, though that extra dialogue that was cut for some reason would've been a nice addition. I nearly fell over when they exchanged the "L-word" for the first time, and the final goodbye was well done. It's hard to part ways with someone you love, and it showed in game.

Ashley is my personal fav because she is flawed. She is distrustful of everyone, but with Shepard's support she changes.

I found Ash's character confused/confusing in ME1 and didn't trust her because of it. However I still choose her over boring Kaiden on Virmire. ME2 she just annoyed me, and I was disappointed she couldn't come back as I enjoyed her as a squaddie in ME1. ME3 I felt there was no real resolution for her previous attitude, I just received more attitude lol. That said, I did like her as a character. I've argued for her on other forums when she gets labelled as 'racist grunt', she's much more interesting than that.

Yeah I don't understand why people call her racist. Its more cynical realism than racism.

Then again, some people call Tali a racist. I don't understand the internet. Maybe I just like racists, since those two were my favourites.

It's a fine line between 'nationalism' (or 'planetism' in Ash's case) and 'racism' I suppose.  Because she wants to put Earth's interests first, some assume that means she is racist.  The dog analogy she uses in ME1 does not help her cause ;)

I currently only have two male Shepards, and though one of them romanced Ashley, he didn't really stay faithful. I had to delete my last faithful Ashley-romancing Shepard in order to have a little more space and order in my hard drive.

All that said, I do honestly adore Ashley. She's my favorite love interest from ME1, bar none, and one of my top two love interests in the series. Initially, I was disappointed with how the romance with her in ME3 turned out, due to the seeming lack of content related to it and the fact that it started later in the game than any other romance. Having replayed it recently, however, I can say I have honestly grown to like it quite a lot. It's exceedingly sweet, and I absolutely adore the intimate moments after the love scene and the goodbye on Earth. Really nice, heartfelt writing there.

I started with ME2, but since then I haven't romanced anyone else if that's you're indeed asking. Only time I romanced anyone else besides Ash after playing ME1 was when I intentionally wanted to so I could see how Ashley reacted in ME3.

Considering her family's history, she does trust easily. In her mind, the alien races were the cause of the Williams' curse.(ME 1). In ME 2, she felt betrayed by Shepard because what she has seen what the TIM can do to his victims. ME 3, she is confused with her emotions because she wants to believe in Shepard again but doesn't want to get hurt again. In other words, she just doesn't follow blindly because it is Shepard. She is the most realistic of the supporting characters in the Mass Effect Universe. That is why I like her. In fact, I dumped Laria and Jack to romance Ashley in one of my play throughs of ME 3.

I fell in love with ash immediately in me 1 and the romance in that game was so satisfying. As great as mass effect was she was a huge reason i was invested and emotional as i was.....and the heartbreak on horizon....the fact me 2 succeeds despite the lack of ash is just a testament to that game and its own characters....but as for me 3, more could have been done{boy does that sound familiar at this point} but overall yes it was the best romance and i was happy, i liked her new look as much as the old too....and it was awesome to see her promoted and even become a spectre, just need more convos/dialouge w shep and others....validation for me as an ash fan....and yes there are ash haters but i dont think some realize just how many ash fans there are....shes actually up there w the most popular, i even did a hottest poll and she came in 2nd....and have u seen her character thread on here...its HUGE w awesome art....oh and my main shep stayed true to her all the way

I had issues with ME1/ME2 Ashley that turned out to be nothing.  I'd always assumed that she was more than just the lost sheep on Eden Prime, as some of her story didn't quite add up to me.  Turns out it was nothing but my distrust lol.

To expand on that strange theory that went on in my head:
Ashley was evidently a top soldier, but was in the lowly rank of Gunnery Chief and blamed the 'Williams Curse'.  She pushed the conversation towards the alien races and Shep's opinion on them, like she was probing beyond curiosity.  I'd always thought that she was some kind of Alliance mole, ensuring that Shepard doesn't go 'native' with the alien races.  Then in ME2, when on Horizon, she somehow evades the seeker swarm (despite being shown being hit by the seeker swarm) and even though Lily is taken by the Collectors and was right next to her, Ash mystically appears unharmed to berate Shepard.  It turns out that this was just bad continuity by BW and not a conspiracy of Alliance/Cerberus operatives.

That was a head scratcher, but I just chalked it up that Ash is too damn awesome to be frozen by the Collectors. :D

I do understand why people don't like her,but I think they just aren't willing to give the character a chance. She isn't racist, she doesn't trust alien because of what happen to her family. It is something that is understandable. By ME 3, she has become more friendly towards aliens even comforting Laria, the blue Mary Sue, after the Reapers attack her home world.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Ashley at all, I was disappointed she couldn't be a femshep LI. She was my #2 in ME1. Me, Ash and Liara kicked some serious ass in ME1, that was my dream team. If I could get over Sheploo I would have romanced Ash, but I can barely get past Eden Prime with him so it never happened.

I have the same problem with FemShep in ME 1 since the choices are Kadian (Boring) or Liara. I don't like either of those choices so...Eden Prime was the end for me too...huh....

I stayed loyal with Ashley. I have other playthroughs, with other romances with the rest of the romanceable females, all of which I haven't cheated. Ashley still remains my favorite character and romance in the series, right next to Kelly Chambers. I am not a fan of how Ashley was in ME3. I like the Ash from ME1 better.

Many people in here BSN forums dont understand what racism means,
Racism is hating other people because they have  different (skin color, language etc...)

Krogans racist because they hate Salarians and Turians, cause of genophage? hell no, they arent. Or quarians because they hate geth exiled them from Rannoch? No, they are enemies and its not racism to hate enemy.

Kro/Quo dont hate those because they are different, they are just ****ing angry for them

But, comparing to Aliens to animals, thats out of line for me. :?
