Look at this cliche Hollywood ending, is that what you want for Mass Effect?

I mean really, it has an outright victory. It has triumphant music. It has the hero rising from the ashes in a completely cliche manner.
This is not what Mass Effect is about, Mass Effect is dark and grim. Happy endings have no place in this very dark and utterly not inspiring universe.

And now you can see why Mass Effect cannot have happy endings ever.
Nice work. I am taking it that you are being sarcastic, and believe this is what Mass Effect 3 should have ended more like, and I agree 100%. All previous Mass Effect games have had either Shepard definitely walking out of the rubble 100% fine, or a damn good chance of that happening. Mass Effect was never dark and grim, it was always a Space Epic - where Shepard always won, though with the loss of some friends. Sure, Kaiden dies, so does Legion, and Thane. In Starwars, Ben Kenobi Dies, as Does Anakin Skywalker once he redeems himself. Luke Loses his hand, and Han Solo is frozen. But you know what? It all turned out well in the end. That is what people wanted for Mass Effect 3, and to an extent it is a reasonable request.
Moreover, what people want now is not necessarily this, but an ending that makes sense.

How could they POSSIBLY make an ending like this for ME3? Wheres the Edgy and DEEP meanings! Wheres the Starchilds?! Clearly nobody in their right mind would make an ending as heroically stereotypical yet satisfying as this one.
There's not even a choice for explosion colour!
I wanted my purple explosions, but this is just crap and shallow without them, and without randomly teleporting Normandy and Crewmates.

Anyways, that's my favorite ending in video game history. I love it so much.

I'm too colorblind for rainbows, i can only see in monochrome. So please, no rainbows.
And i don't think it's right ending, i can't see any space magic there. Must be indoctrination.

Actually i think the whole game is dark. Dark shadows, dark coners... Can't see faces...
Than i tuned a little in my Ati Control and suddenly it was bright again.
I need a slider to tune ending.

How the first game in the trilogy had little choices and ones that it did have ultimately don't make a difference to the ending of Mass effect 3?
