I got feeling that ME3 heading this way. It had everything to become game of the year, whole trilogy could have rich same fame as Baldurs Gate, KTOR,.. games that we and game industry remember even decade after they were released. Instead, inexcusable disastrous ending can make it infamous at the same magnitude – we all will remember what a wonderful game was ruined by the ending.
I feel so sad because good games are hard to find, many comes and goes but few make remember them, I played other bioware games and they were always so professionally done.
So sad . . .

You must not give in to the sadness. Despair will weaken us all.

stop right there, ME3's ending wasn't perfect, but are you seriously going to say that this game was overall worse than DAII?

I still love ME1 AND 2 but ME3 is not a game i'm going to keep the ending sucks i have no reason to replay it so it's getting traded in on thursday . I'm still hopeful that DA3 will be great and i still think BioWare are great developers , and ME3 is a great game but the ending is just aweful so i'm going sell it back to gamestop.

IMO it will not matter with all the money pile in the EA/Bioware offices.

There were a lot more problems with ME3 than just the endings.

Not worst game, but biggest fiasco/missed opportunity. Oh yes.

EDIT:  Unless Diablo3 turns out to be a game about dancing penguins or something.

Nope it is not, OP. For me its the GOTY. Would be everyone's GOTY if not for the subpar ending.

whoa whoa whoa... game disaster of the year? are you serious? I would rate games like "Plumbers Dont Wear Ties" as Game Disaster... not ME3.

Sure the ending sucked, but the rest of the game sure as heck didnt. There's WAY more games out there that i can point my finger to and call "Game Disaster of the Year."

You are deluded. It will be right up there for game of the year and deservedly so.

I didn't like the romances either they were toned way down to the point they should have just kept the dialogue and skiped the sex scene all together it was PG rated at best. This is a Mature rated game if your not going to make it that way then don't advertise it as something it's not. The swearing was also toned way down i'm 40 years old i want to play mature rated games not games for kiddies.

Probably, plenty of gaming journalists around to shill that one.

If they opt to *not* repair the non-ending, and there's a just and loving god? I hope so.

I don't think it will get Game of the Year.

I think it WILL get Most 'Controversial Game of the Year' though.

It's a strong (and so far only) contender for that award.

With the ending included, it was far worse.

yes i totally agree with all of your posts including this one. i am turing 25 this april i paid for a rated m game and i also expect a rated m game. ive seen multiple movies that have complete nudity in them that are 14+ so i dont get it. because its a videogame you have to be 80 inorder to see it..... mass effect 3 if not fixed will go down as the most epic fail of all time and will go down as the downfall of bioware

The game already is disaster of the year, people are getting refunds for PC games. You can not really REFUND a pc game.

O.o

Have you played Dragon Age 2?  Even that game, WITHOUT its ending, was worse than ME3, WITH its ending.

But then again, y'know what they say about opinions...

The year hasn't even reached the midway point, much less ended.
So hold on to your popcorn.

If you think about it in terms of what game goes furthest south from it's projected sales as the greatest disaster, then ME3 would probably win that award unless they can turn this ending around. Of course this is only speculation. People may still buy the game at a high pace despite the ending, or maybe BioWare knew they had a bad ending and predicted the drop in sales after costumers realized what happens in the game.

Wonder if that's even affecting people grabbing "pirated" ME3's?

Hacker1: Hey did you finish illegally downloading ME3 yet?
Hacker2: What's the point? No one's gonna buy it.

correction: the game potentially can go furthest south from its projected DLC sales.

it already hit and surpassed its projected base game  sales.
