Its a horrible ending because of some minor plot holes, not enough cgi, you can't say no, and because bioware promised they wouldn't do it this way. That's the argument?

Yeah, really minor plot holes.

ME1, bleh the conduit? for what? Sovereign? Reapers? each one a nation, independent, free of all weakness? Saren to open the citadel?

ME2, humans important? dark matter? Haestrom's sun? what? what's all that?

Oh right I remember, ME3 it's a good start for newcomers.

ME1 was so perfect ....the plot was so good ... and the mystery plenty of worlds to visit again and again planetary exploration
ME2 was worse ...
ME3 well almost shooter only galaxy exploration sucks - save and reload all the time, ending sucks 1 location to return to - sucks 1st DLC released same day as game -sucks why it was not in the box already?.... EDI and Joker save it a little

So sad . . . "

stop right there, ME3's ending wasn't perfect, but are you seriously going to say that this game was overall worse than DAII?

yes

it is already a runaway disaster of huge proportions, in every single way.
i would imagine some ,or all, the mass effrect dev team are feeling now like we did after the ending.

Yes, plus today is Whopper Wednesday...AWWW yeah!

And yes I'm still being somewhat serious. I think that even if they offer an alternate ending DLC/Expansion at this point they've set a precedence for charging gamers for a real ending to a Trilogy(let alone a stand alone game)+Day 1 DLC. And doing such will turn most people away from their products. Why? because spending this kind of cash on ONE game is unprecedented for a reason. Micro-transactions also don't belong in single player RPGs KTHX John Riccitiello, go back to your Battlefield idea of charging $1 to reload.

In AAA terms ? I can't see any of the other big names screwing up this badly, it's always a possibility though.

whoa whoa whoa... game disaster of the year? are you serious? I would rate games like "Plumbers Dont Wear Ties" as Game Disaster... not ME3.

Sure the ending sucked, but the rest of the game sure as heck didnt. There's WAY more games out there that i can point my finger to and call "Game Disaster of the Year."

According to Forbes Magazine. A business magazine. BioWare/EA Games, has already taken losses on Dragon Age 2 and Star Wars OR. And they feel that unless BioWare takes steps to make the customers (Fans) happy with the product (ME3). That it will also be a money loser as well. That could adversely affect any future game sales for them. Because of the bad rep that these 3 games has had with the buyers.

We know why. You didn't like the game and therefore anyone who has liked it is an idiot and should not be taken seriously. Understandable.

Face it,a lot of people loved it. Rated 9.6 on IMDB and has awesome reviews by many many magazines.

Pre-paid reviews and/or blackmailing into removal all ad and sponsorship like that recent (not that recent, in fact, but one of elements surfaced recently) with one games review site, including bad review and fire of editor?

a bit irrelevant question, but if millions of people will put 9.6 points that diving from skyscraper head down without parachute is good thing, will you follow them or made up your own mind?

There are so many potentially better games coming out this year. Unless they screw up in some major way ME3 should not even be in the running.

Disaster? Not by long shot.(hopefully) But there could be disaster in creation. Industry deciding it is not worth doing game series like this... I don't think there is any other company who tried similar approach as Bioware for ME series.

(BTW: One saying is too true in this case - The loudest and vocal group is always group of complainers regardless of their size or proportion.) And nobody knows real scope - loudness doesn't number makes, but makes nice headlines for articles and subsequent clicks.

Also fun thing is how one's personal opnion overrides everybody else, especially of those who disagree.

Remember: EA might decide it is not worth it and shut down most of operaton completely. (They in the end operating under same scheme as Activsion or Ubisoft)

-HAHAHHA.... christ this is funny. I believe you were unhappy with people generalizing and using ad hominems earlier?

Please do me a favor and find me a quote where I stated that "anyone who has liked it is an idiot and should not be taken seriously". Please do? Because you wouldnt be misrepresenting me and putting words in my mouth now would you? And in case you cannot, Ill take that apology now. Hmmn...kay?

I have faced it. I just dont agree with it. Nor do I believe everything I read. As for the magazine reviews? Well... they stand on their own accord. I dont think it gives them any credibility but there you go.

Most magazines take a payment in kind to write reviews, be it advertising, direct payment etc etc. So discounting them is not hard.
IMDB as an authority on video games.......right......ahem....

If you look at player reviews on the largest internet retailer on the planet, AMAZON, Mass effect 3 is getting murdered.

You dont even have any ME games registered mate are you trolling for attention?

I don't think it is fair to write off ME3 yet. If Bioware release an update/DLC that changes the ending it would be the first time in history and that would give them positive publicity.
People sometimes forget that the game has only been out for 3 three weeks. Give them time to react and make a proper fix. If they released something rushed they would get destroyed with complaints about them showing lack of respect to us fans etc.

As the things are at the moment ME3 is still a brilliant game. It is only the last 30 minutes that don't live up to the rest of the game. I still believe that ME3 can/will be the best game this year. I have no doubt if they release a new/edited ending. That would make the ME-series the best to be made, ever.

Xbox360 Amazon.com 2 stars http://www.amazon.co...32327701&sr=8-1
PC 2 Stars http://www.amazon.co...32327701&sr=8-1
PS 3 3 Stars http://www.amazon.co...32327701&sr=8-1

UK Xbox 2 stars, PC 2 Stars, PS3 2 STARS
most of europe 2 stars in some 3 stars.

Sad reflection on what is all the way to the end a brilliant game, the ending kills it Im afraid like it or not Amazon is a very true reflection of the buying public

Controversial? Yes. Even the endings are finally 'fixed'

Worst fiasco? Have you seen Ninja Gaiden 3 or RE: Operation Raccoon City?

By the way:I think that the new Bioshock will be the GOTY. But ME3 is a great game anyway. Let's see if Bioware will satisfy the fan rage with free DLC.
