Hurricane is ass. If the recoil is still bad on a ANTI RECOIL SPECCED TURIAN SOLDIER... it's ****ing worthless.

As to dude man who thinks carniflex is in accurate, my scoped headshots from across firebase dagger would like a word with you.

Carniflex is probably the best gun in the game taking weight into consideration.

Oh, dear GOD. Even if I ever could upgrade this gun to X, it would still be a horrible, HORRIBLE piece of crap. This couldn't feel more bitter. I didn't expect to get my first choice, but I had hope of at least not getting saddled with the worst gun of all. And I can't imagine even the Eagle being worse than this. 

Did they seriously nerf an already weak gun that only Liara is decent with? Why? WHY? I don't understand! I thought the Commendation pack was supposed to contain rewards, not useless clutter to mock the participants who worked so hard to get through silver and/or gold matches!

It's nice to imagine. But you both know we're screwed. Nobody cares about the people who got an awful, awful weapon. Because IT'S A BONUS, or some crap. I Just did this on my turian soldier. In cover, with marksman, against enemies on bronze, it was simply "decent". When a weapon is simply decent in ideal conditions, then its just another pile of junk in my armory. Seems to be a lot of these kinds of piles of junk in my armory these days.

After having looked over the smg class as a whole, all I can think of asking is "why bother?". Name anything you want a weapon to do and do well, an SMG never comes to mind.

Precisely. Precisely. I tried the same thing with my drell adept, and it was absolutely horrible, spraying off towards the ceiling in a split second. It's better on a turian soldier... but I don't like playing a turian soldier (I prefer human and krogan), and that's really the only class it's viable on. If you play bronze.

As long as I made marksman headshots on cannibals, they went down fast. But marauders laughed off my million headshots as if they were, indeed, marshmallows. And the clips disappear quite fast.

Yeah, I know your/their pain as well. I feel the same. All that brave fighting, and in the end you get saddled with the N7 Foggy Pain. The N7 Sneeze. The N7 Misty Dew. 

What a disgrace to the N7 name. Why did they even bother including SMGs? The only N7 weapon that I thought was any good in SP was the Valiant anyway. I love the Valiant. Of course I didn't get the Valiant, or even the ten-ton Crusader, which probably isn't anywhere near as good as the GPS but at least you can say it does epic damage like the Widow. 

Depressing.

If the N7 Hurricane is your plan A with a soldier class then you need to re-think your tactics. For a soldier it should be used, at best, as a back up weapon for something like the Mattock, Grizzly or any other single shot assault rifle.

People who use it as a primary tend to be the ones who need something to fire in the few seconds of their power cool down like an adept or engineer, or if they run out of ammo for their big gun, like an infiltrator with a Mantis, Widow, ect.

I wanted the Hurricane and I got the Hurricane. It is an utterly fantastic gun that shreds through health and shields and gets headshots galore. I've been using it for a couple hours on a drell vanguard in both silver and gold. The one thing you need to know about this gun is never ADS. Just don't. Don't do it. I know you're tempted because you've probably played other shooters before but don't do it.

The Hurricane is effective against big targets where precise aim isn't important. Brutes and Cannibals got torn up by it. I also had a blast using it against Cerberus, except when I came across a Nemesis and couldn't hit them at all. It does not need a buff, although I wish I could continue upgrading it.

I can control the recoil but it's still very inaccurate. As I said, it can't shoot from one side of the reactor to the other on FB: Reactor accurately.

It's the best SMG in the game, and a great weapon to use as back up. If you didn't use it in single player then I guess the recoil will catch you off guard. However, once you get used to it you'll do good. Or you can ignore the gun and never use it. Just know that it isn't terrible, despite your first impressions and some people enjoy it.

Recoil can catch you off guard, even if you are familiar with it, best way to use it is in short bursts again and again while aiming low on the torso from cover. The short bursts don't let recoil add up as much and all weapons are more accurate/stable when fired from cover.

SMG's, all SMG's, only really shine when ammo mods are applied. The Hurricane is no exception. It's an up close and personal gun. You're supposed to be using it like a shotty in short bursts. You're not supposed to unload the damn thing unless your screen is eclipsed by whatever dumb **** decided to get in your grill.

Use it. Don't use it. Doesn't matter. But don't say the gun sucks because you can't lrn2play.
