This is a "small" workaround if you desperately want to play ME3 on your BSOD ((Black Screen Of Death) bugged ME3 on Xbox 360.  Obviously if you want to import or play your previous ME2 saves to ME3 you won't be able to because its linked to the BSOD Gamertag.  But hey, its better than nothing!!

Anyway, on to the workaround -  Simply go to Xbox Home and make sure your BSOD bugged gametag is LOGGED OUT before starting up ME3.  Then sign-in with a NON XBOX LIVE profile (or create a new profile) and startup ME3, you'll get the Startup screen and can play as normal. Yay!!!!!
****UPDATE:  I''ve created three new profiles so far and all three play ME3 fine apparently...for now***

Previously I re-downloaded multiple times my bugged gamertag to see if it fixes the issue, but it doesn't.  If someone has TWO Xbox Live Gamertags on their console maybe they can try to attempt to startup the game on the non bugged tag and see if that works too.

I really hope this works for other people!! Please confirm if this has worked for you, again, its better than not playing the game at all!!

Indeed though it was already mentioned in the main thread (though I suppose it's kind of hard to find now given how large the thread has become).

Out of curiosity you aren't the Blockbuster guy from Cheap Ass Gamer are you?

I would call this side-stepping the problem, not working around it.

I'd actually be fairly cool with that, except you have to pay to use gold so yeah big issue there.

Not to mention you'd probably have to buy another Online Pass.

Here's a better "workaround" (though a lot more complex):

Yeah I actually saw that in my 24 pages of reading.  Honestly its a good effort but I honestly don't want to tamper with ANYTHING xbox related so I may avoid the "Banhammer" for the future.

HOWEVER, just to continue proving my point, I slapped myself on the forehead *again* and busted out a gold 2-day pass (one of dozens I may add that I forgot are in almost every new game), made a new profile and was happily playing multiplayer on my new ME3 profile!!!!  But it feels empty becuase I poured dozens upon dozens of hours my ORIGINAL profile so I know my MP play will be for nothing.  Also I cannot bring myself to bear to play the campaign with an "empty" history considering all the investements made from ME1 and ME2 and those decisions make huge differences in the storytelling on ME3.

Again...better than nothing.

Also WHY I made this thread is that I wanted to help those like myself who literally spent HOURS pouring over Google and search engines to find a "fix" of ANY kind to this issue.  I was aware of this "workaround" but surprisingly no one made a new thread. I wanted to at the very least help those people who have the BSOD AND just started on ME3 ONLY and would definitely benefit from this "workaround" because they're starting "fresh" anyway!!  So this is post is for those lost in the interwebs with NOTHING to go with.

You are most definitely welcome.

Lets keep this thread alive and please post any other "tips" or workarounds that you may have found or discovered.

Just waiting on Bioware...good luck to us all!

You are forgetting that you would lose the N7 CE weapons, the N7 Warfare kit, M55 pre-order weapon, From Ashes DLC and as said previously, the online pass (which is moot because even if you DID get back online you would have to start from scratch and any packs you have redeemed or bought using MSP would not be there and you would be starting at level 1).

Basically until Bioware fixes the file in the gamer profile we are STUFFED. I bought the Collector's Edition for the DLC so if we lose it I will be really peed off.

I'm already in withdrawal... <_<

Actually there's a ray of hope for the N7 CE stuff Neo. Think about this: Everything that is included with your N7 Collector's Edition; weapons, Ashes DLC, etc. is all linked with your EA Account, to which then linked to your profile/gamertag. THUS, you will always have access to those items and can re-download them AT THE VERY LEAST.

However, after reading about the MP issues, and yes I spent about $30 buying Spector packs (Yes I'm a sucker) and THOSE + all my hours of hard work leveling and collecting MP items were to disappear I will simply go ape**** on Bioware.
