There is a difference between talking abotu your displeasue and outright attemptign to bully the developer to change what you dont' like. The reasons for you not liking it at this point are UTTERLY IRRELEVANT.

Isn't "bullying the developer" the same sort of hyperbole that the retake movement is accused of?  Whether or not one considers they've taken it too far, I think it's important to remember that these people aren't (just) petulant fans but paying customers and as such they are actually entitled to give feedback about elements that they're unhappy with.  It is of course up to the developer whether or not they wish to act on that feedback, though personally I think it's not a good idea to ignore it or otherwise make it go away: ultimately people will vote with their wallets which will have a far greater impact than any "bullying".

Don't come to me with that "Paying consumer" line.

You are entilted to give your feedback. And you have been. For days.

But planend campaigns to force the devs to change the endings? Reeks, nay STINKS of (overemotional) self-entiltement.

Why not?

Quite the contrary! I actually can accept the endings, flawed and cheap as they are.
But I admire the passion of those people, that is the main reason I joined the group, I find all of this quite exciting, as I understand it, this is unprecedented.
If they end up improving the game, which is already one of, if not the best I've ever played, all the better.
Some of the people are disturbing though and I am mostly a passive supporter of those, who have pointed out the problems with Bioware's handling of their own story rather eloquently and convincing.
I am not demanding they change the ending, but I like the polite suggestion, that they do so because, they handled their own IP a little careless in the end and the criticism is justified and should be heard!

Hold the line!

I'm one of those middle grounders. I could accept the endings if they were done better and better explained. Overall I loved the whole series and the ending hasn't stopped me from loving it and wanting to play more.
Now if the take back movement's critiques were more like yahtzee's zero punctuation this whole thing would be lots of fun and I would bother to read their threads.

(just a warning it is manic, crass, funny, and NSFW)

I can understand everyone's frustrations, on both sides of the fence. My biggest complaint has been people - even on my friends list, no less - telling me the endings were awful, and ruined the series for them - before I even got to that point in my playthrough. I know misery loves company, but I wish they would have let me come to that conclusion (or not) on my own.

Sometimes this debate feels that same way.

I think I would've been the same if the ending wasn't quite so incongruous: unfortunately it was such a "wtf?" moment for me that it's had me thinking and reading about everything else that was wrong with it, whereas if it had contained fewer nonsequiturs I'd be more likely to be left thinking "well it wasn't great, but y'know".  I think in time I'll be more likely to look back on it as one of my most amusingly terrible gaming moments than something that completely puts me off the series.

I hasten to add since there seems to have been some confusion that I don't align myself with anyone, I'm just me; though I am somewhat disgruntled.

I'm with you on the WTF. I felt very moved during parts of the game right up to the last few minutes. During the end I kept saying to myself what happened to Bioware?

I dislike the way those people act, I don't like the movement. It was acceptable for awhile, but since it's still going, I am starting to get tired of them. Their constant moaning and crying just ruins the mood on the forums.

I hope this was not intentional om anyone's part; read of a few zealots that were compelled to warn others of the ending in order to spare them the emotional loss, pain, etc.

But as such protests seem to go, they never really end; simply rearm themselves for the next offense of choice. In this case, many now complain of people's opinions of them and their tactics.

What a surprise.... Posted Image

I keep getting Hold the Line mixed up with End of Line. Can't keep my BSNisms straight.

You know there was a sector of people who thought that Woo closing threads with "End of Line" was mocking them? He's been doing it for over 9 years between this forum and the last one and somehow it's being done as an insult just because they chose a phrase from the series with "line" in it.

There will always be people who share your opinion. In this instance, I am not one of them.

I'm indifferent about the whole thing. I get why all of it's happening, but there's not enough information on certain conditions for me to grab a pitchfork over it. Besides, that thing's going to be chugging onwards whether I joined regardless.

I have very little patience with the movement, given that hyperbole and hysteria is running riot in the forums and also the blatant disrespect shown to the developers by people who see "malicious or deceptive" motives in everything that the devs say or do.
